I have a dream of building a home of my own. My mother, who was perfectly healthy, suddenly fell ill with an unexpected fever. She was admitted to the General Hospital and stayed there for twenty days, but the doctors couldn't identify the cause of the fever. I worked tirelessly and did everything humanly possible to save her life, but right before my eyes, I felt my entire future crumbling away.
​I feel lost and helpless. My mother’s passing has affected my little sister even more deeply than it has affected me. I don’t know how I could ever endure such helplessness again. Now, I only have my father and my sister left. I want to protect them from any further hardship or distress; I cannot let my father suffer that pain again.
​My sister is currently pursuing a degree in Software Engineering at the Open University. There are 3.5 years left to complete it, and it costs about $400 a month. Up until now, I have sacrificed everything—even my own meals—to ensure those payments were made on time. After my mother left us, it felt as though my entire world had collapsed.
​My greatest priority now is to take care of my father and sister, keep them healthy, build a roof over our heads, and ensure my sister’s education isn't interrupted so she can achieve her dreams.
