• Climate: Average temperature 22–27°C, annual rainfall 1,500–2,500 mm — ideal for tea, coffee, and cinnamon cultivation

• Ownership: Land fully owned and available for immediate cultivation

2. Crop Choice & Reason
Tea:
• Sri Lanka is globally known for Ceylon Tea, with high export demand.
• Strong domestic and export market; stable pricing and government support.
Coffee:
• Specialty coffee market is growing internationally, especially for organic and single-origin beans.
• Higher per-kilo prices compared to many other crops.
Cinnamon:
• Sri Lanka produces 80–90% of the world’s true cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum).
• High export value and long shelf life; demand increasing in Europe, USA, and Middle East.
