I am writing to you today with a heavy heart and a deep sense of urgency regarding my father's ongoing battle with kidney disease. As his primary caregiver, I am seeking financial assistance to help cover the mounting medical expenses associated with his treatment. My father Manjula perera was diagnosed with specific type of kidney disease  2 years ago. Despite the best efforts of his medical team, the progression of the disease has been rapid, and we are now facing difficult choices regarding his ongoing care.
Kidney disease, as you may know, requires constant medical attention, including dialysis, medications, and frequent hospital visits. The financial burden has been overwhelming, and we are struggling to afford the necessary treatments that are essential for his survival. His condition has also limited his ability to work, which has further strained our family’s financial resources.
 
Currently, my father is undergoing dialysis which costs approximately 100$ per week Additionally, there are costs for laboratory tests, specialist consultations, and hospitalizations that have added up to an amount far beyond what we can manage on our own. We have explored all possible avenues for insurance coverage and financial aid, but there remains a significant gap between the care required and what we can afford.
 
The impact of this disease on my father’s quality of life is profound. He has always been a hardworking and caring individual, and seeing him in such a fragile state has been emotionally and physically exhausting for both him and our family. We are doing everything we can to support him, but the cost of care is increasingly becoming insurmountable.
 
This grant would significantly alleviate the financial pressure we are under and allow my father to receive the necessary treatments without delay. The funds would be used directly for his dialysis treatments, medications, and any additional care required for his condition. We also hope that, with financial assistance, we can afford the transportation costs for his frequent doctor visits, which are often located far from our home.
