The people of coastal Syria have always been known for their generosity, hospitality, and unwavering spirit. They opened their homes to those in need, trusted in promises of a better future, and in return, they were betrayed. When war came to their doorsteps, they had no choice but to flee—leaving behind their homes, their livelihoods, and the land they cherished.

Now, many of these families find themselves in Lebanon, struggling to survive after escaping the brutality of takfiri jihadist groups. They have lost everything, yet they still hold on to hope.

I am one of them. From these people, I came, and to these people, I belong.
