My Little Son Nuhaik is just 2 years old, yet he has already faced challenges no child should have to endure. Since infancy, he has struggled with his vision and was later diagnosed with Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI), along with global developmental delay and a history of infantile spasms.
Simple things many children do naturally making eye contact, focusing, or following objects are difficult for Nuhaik. Yet every day, he continues to fight with remarkable strength and the gentlest little smile.
Doctors have strongly recommended a one-month intensive vision therapy program to give Nuhaik the best possible chance to strengthen his vision and support his overall development. Sadly, this treatment is not available in the Maldives, and his parents must travel abroad for it. For the therapy and travel costs fall entirely on the parents
