Lebanese Alternative Learning (LAL): Education Through Technology

LAL is a dedicated collective of educators, creative minds, and tech innovators united by the belief that technology can be an equalizing force for education.
Since its founding, LAL has been committed to ensuring that every child, regardless of their circumstances, has access to high-quality digital education programs.

LAL's mission is to harness technology’s transformative power to design and deliver accessible, high-quality educational programs for all children. It serves the beautiful vision that aims to empower education through technology.

LAL’s journey began in 2013, when Nayla, a French Literature professor, and Nagi, an expert in New Educational Technology, volunteered with hospitalized children. They witnessed firsthand the hope and joy that learning could bring to children facing long-term illnesses. This inspired the creation of an e-learning platform that eventually grew into TABSHOURA.

With a focus on bridging educational gaps, LAL officially launched TABSHOURA to bring free, quality education to underserved communities. By continuously innovating, especially in offline solutions, LAL ensures that education reaches even the most remote areas.
In 2021, LAL expanded its impact by supporting teachers through Lalmoudaress, a collaborative library of educational content created by educators, for educators.

LAL's programs reaches today students across Lebanon through partnerships with NGOs, community centers, and public and private schools.
