I'm running my second marathon ever on 8 May in Bethlehem! I am fundraising under the spirit of the founding organization Right to Movement for Al-Mada Organisation that works to preserve the culture of Palestine though education. Moving under occupation is getting harder by the day and that makes any mission to bring Palestinians form the Westbank together crucial to preserve and continue culture. "Friends and supporters of Al-Mada,

As you know, for the past two years we’ve been working on the Songs of the Country program. In this program, children from different villages have written, composed, and performed songs about their towns, villages, and daily lives. We would now like to culminate this work with a festival that brings all the children together, giving them a space to present their songs to their families and friends. It’s also an opportunity for us to be with the people who have been around us since the very beginning of our journey and the launch of our work.

The festival will take place on Friday, June 26, in the old town of Birzeit. There will also be an accompanying market featuring handmade products and crafts.

At Al-Mada, we have decided not to accept any conditional funding or funding that supports genocide, and we aim to build a community base that supports us. We are currently in a fundraising phase and need your support—either through a direct contribution of between $50 and $100 (bank details are below; you can also contact us if you prefer to donate in cash—it’s very important to inform us of any transfer so we can record it), or by sharing this message with people who might contribute, or by connecting us with individuals or institutions who may be interested in supporting us.

زي ما بتعرفو النا سنتين عم نشتغل ببرنامج أغاني البلد، في البرنامج أطفال من قرى مختلفة كتبوا ولحنوّا وغنوّا أغاني عن بلداتهم وقراهم وحياتهم اليومية، وحابّين انه نتوّج هاد الشغل بمهرجان يجمع كل الأطفال مع بعض، ويكون عندهم مساحة انهم يعرضو أغانيهم لأهاليهم وأصدقائهم وهي كمان فرصة النا نكون مع الناس اللي كانت حولينا من أول مشوارنا وإنطلاقة عملنا.
المهرجان راح يكون يوم الجمعة 26/6 في البلدة القديمة في بيرزيت، وراح يكون كمان في سوق مرافق لمنتجات وحرف يدوية.
في المدى قررنا انه ما ناخد أي تمويل مشروط أو داعم للإبادة وبنسعى أنه نكوّن قاعدة مجتمعية بتدعمنا، حاليًا احنا في فترة تجنيد الأموال وبحاجة لدعمكم إما من خلال الدعم المباشر بمبلغ ما بين 50$ و 100$ (بالأسفل تفاصيل البنك، وبتقدرو تتواصلو معنا اذا بتفضلو كاش، ومهم جداً تخبرونا اذا حولتوا أيا مبلغ لحتى نسجل عنا)، أو من خلال إرسال هاي الرسالة للأشخاص ممكن يساهمو، أو تشبيكنا مع أشخاص أو مؤسسات ممكن تكون معنية بدعمنا.
