Medical Support
We humbly reach out to you during this most difficult time for our family. Our beloved mother is currently confined in the ICU at Tarlac Medical Center after suffering from a cardiac arrest, along with acute liver and kidney failure. Her condition remains critical, and she continues to undergo intensive treatment and medication. Our hospital bills have already reached nearly 1 million pesos (USD 17,500) , and the expenses continue to rise. As a family, we are doing everything we can, but the financial burden is becoming overwhelming. With all humility and sincerity, we are appealing for any form of assistance that could help us sustain our mother’s ongoing treatment. Your help, no matter how big or small, would mean the world to us and could give our mother a fighting chance to recover. We continue to pray for her healing, and we remain hopeful that through the kindness of others, we can extend her life and be with her a little longer. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

No more using Mercury in artisanal gold mining

Environment

No more using Mercury in artisanal gold mining
Why This Matters: Environmental Crisis: Mercury used in ASGM is Indonesia’s largest source of mercury pollution, releasing over 100 tons annually, harming ecosystems and water sources (e.g., high mercury levels in Sukabumi’s rivers). Health Risks: Miners, especially women and children, face severe health issues from mercury exposure, with studies showing up to 24 ppm in miners’ hair in some regions, far exceeding safe limits. Economic Opportunity: Mercury-free methods improve gold yields and open access to premium markets, as demonstrated by initiatives like pGOLD Indonesia, boosting miners’ incomes by up to 20%. My Vision: Drawing on my 17 years of experience in Surabaya, myself aim to empower 1,000+ miners across Indonesia’s key ASGM regions (e.g., Sumatra, Sulawesi, Kalimantan) with sustainable practices, aligning with the Minamata Convention’s mercury phase-out goals. My Story: "As a gold mining consultant based in Surabaya for 17 years, I’ve worked with communities and businesses to make mining safer and more sustainable. I’ve seen the devastating impact of mercury on miners’ health and Indonesia’s rivers. This campaign will fund mercury-free technologies, training, and market access to transform artisanal mining into a force for good—protecting our environment and uplifting livelihoods." Funding Breakdown The USD 5000 will be allocated transparently to maximize impact: Mercury-Free Technology (USD 250,000): Purchase and install mercury-free processing equipment, such as shaking tables and gravimetric concentrators, used successfully in projects like GOLD-ISMIA. Target: Equip 10 mining communities (100 miners each). Training Programs (USD 150,000): Train 1,000 miners, prioritizing women, on mercury-free techniques and safety protocols. Modelled on pGOLD’s training in Sumatera, costing ~USD 150/miner. Market Access and Formalization (USD 50,000): Develop partnerships with ethical buyers (e.g., Gardens of the Sun) and support legal permits to connect miners to formal markets, increasing income by 15-20%. Community Outreach and Education (USD 30,000): Raise awareness in ASGM communities about mercury’s dangers and promote adoption of new methods through workshops and local leaders. Operational and Admin Costs (USD 20,000): Cover logistics, staff, and Fundahope’s platform fees (typically 5-7% of donations). Timeline (1-Year Plan) Month 1-2 (May-Jun 2025): Launch campaign, finalize equipment suppliers, and begin social media promotion. Month 3-6 (Jul-Oct 2025): Reach USD 200,000, purchase initial equipment, and start pilot training in 2 communities (e.g., Bombana, Sulawesi). Month 7-9 (Nov 2025-Jan 2026): Expand to 5 more communities, hit USD 350,000, and establish market partnerships. Month 10-12 (Feb-May 2026): Complete training for 1,000 miners, install remaining equipment, and report final outcomes to donors. Key Challenges and Solutions Mercury Availability: Domestic cinnabar mining keeps mercury cheap. Solution: Subsidize mercury-free equipment to compete on cost, as seen in GOLD-ISMIA’s model. Illegal Mining: Many ASGM sites lack permits. Solution: Allocate funds to support legal formalization, building on your consulting experience. Donor Fatigue: Crowdfunding campaigns often stall. Solution: Regular updates, compelling stories (e.g., a miner’s transformation), and corporate partnerships to sustain momentum. "Join me, a Surabaya-based gold mining consultant with 17 years of experience, to raise USD 500,000 and make artisanal gold mining in Indonesia mercury-free. Your donation will protect our environment, save lives, and empower 1,000+ miners with sustainable livelihoods. Together, we can create a brighter, cleaner future for Indonesia’s gold. Donate now on Fundahope!"

Help me and my mom overcome hard times
Help Me and My Mom Overcome Hard Times & Pursue Education Hello, my name is Julia. I’m from Lebanon, and right now, life has been really difficult for me and my mom. Lebanon’s situation is very hard — the economy is struggling, and finding work is nearly impossible. My mom had a serious car accident where she broke her hip, and now she can’t walk properly or find a job to support us. Because of this, I’ve been trying to help her, but I am also struggling. I have problems with my ID, which makes it even harder to find a job and secure my future. I want to go to college to build a better life, but I can’t afford the tuition or basic expenses. I’m not mentally okay — the stress and pressure are overwhelming. That’s why I’m reaching out to ask for help. heart of Rafah... the story of man making change

Emergency

heart of Rafah... the story of man making change
heart of Rafah... the story of man making change In a small besieged city located at the southernmost tip of the Gaza Strip, where life is measured by barriers and forced departures, its sky breathes smoke, not clouds, I am Wael Ziad Qeshta, living in the city of Rafah; situated in the southern Gaza Strip, the southernmost part of Palestine. Life in the strip is surrounded by obstacles and challenges, and I am still a young man who believes that change begins in the heart of a person; illuminated neither by cameras nor followed by agencies nor fame, but I work to brighten the lives of hundreds in secrecy, carrying the burden of an entire community on my shoulders. Despite the circumstances... I was a light for many marginalized people in the city of Rafah, which has been exhausted by wars and is deprived of lights. I was born and raised, like many of my generation who are born in 2000, in a reality besieged by unemployment, poverty, and an unknown future. But I worked so that I would not be like others, but rather to choose to stand; to stand against frustration, against darkness, against restraint, against the conditions that have prevailed for decades and intensified with the Gaza War of 2023. My journey in work and study My name is Wael Ziad Qishta, a 25-year-old Palestinian young man. I studied public relations at the College of Media at Al-Aqsa University - Gaza, and I am a Master's researcher in media and communication sciences at the same university. Some describe me as: 'I was not an ordinary student,' and many say about me: 'Wael is a beacon of hope in a community exhausted by crises, and a source of inspiration for everyone who knows him.' At a time when thousands of young people suffer from the war that has affected everyone, in the midst of a lack of horizons, I initially decided to fight despair with creativity and to confront reality with initiative and work; for the sake of social change. I worked as a designer and editor, and I participated in organizing community campaigns to support the most marginalized groups, notably the 'Despite the Restraint' campaign Organized by the Ministry of Women's Affairs to support female prisoners in Israeli prisons, as well as various other campaigns to promote digital security, digital safety, community awareness, and new media. 📌 Why do we seek your support? Wail does not work for fame or personal gain, but to make a real difference in the lives of others. However, community initiatives require financial support to become impactful realities. With your support, Wail will be able to: Conduct awareness workshops for youth on various diseases and health infection prevention. Produce purposeful videos that highlight forgotten humanitarian issues in need of support. Fund campaigns to support needy families and children deprived of basic rights. Provide clean water and food and establish kitchens that support displacement camps. 🤝 Why are we here? Because intention alone is not enough, and because passion alone cannot cover transportation fares, implement community initiatives, purchase essentials, or establish a project. We ask for your support to enable Wael and his initiatives to continue supporting the needy. 🌱 Be part of the change with your donations In a world tired of the news and closed to tragedies, there are those who have decided to open their eyes and speak out. Support Wael, because you are not supporting a person, but rather an idea. You are supporting a dream that has not died. You are supporting a fighter for the lives of the needy in a different kind of resistance. Contribute now and let this light continue to shine, even in the darkest of circumstances. Gaza is not just a wound... but a hope, and Wael is one of the voices of this hope.

Advanced treatment could save Ainul Dai

Advanced treatment could save Ainul Dai
My name is Bimal Dai, and I come from a humble family in Thakurgaon, Bangladesh. I am writing this letter with deep pain and helplessness, to share the situation of my beloved father, Ainul Dai, who has been courageously battling throat cancer for over one and a half years. During this difficult journey, our family has done everything in our power to provide him with the best medical care available within the country. We have spent all of our life savings, sold our assets, and even borrowed money to continue his treatment. Every hospital visit, every prescription, and every new test was a reminder of how precious life is — and how helpless we can feel when love meets limitation. Despite our best efforts, my father's condition remains critical. Doctors have now recommended that we take him abroad for advanced treatment, as the facilities and procedures required are not fully available here. This treatment offers a real chance of recovery and renewed life. But the cost is far beyond what we can afford. I am reaching out with an open heart and a desperate hope — that someone reading this may understand our pain and choose to stand beside us. My father is not just a parent — he is the heart of our family. A kind, hardworking man who spent his life serving others quietly, asking for nothing in return. Now, in his time of need, I wish to be his strength — but I cannot do this alone. We are in need of urgent financial assistance to make this treatment possible. Any amount you can contribute will not only be a donation but a gift of life and hope. Even your prayers and sharing this appeal with others will mean the world to us. Please consider being a part of my father’s journey toward healing and life. With humble gratitude, Bimal Dai Thakurgaon, Bangladesh Contact: 01783146309 Email: bimolmicah@gmail.com

Stand by the street children and change a life.

Other

Stand by the street children and change a life.
Why I Started This Fundraiser & Who It’s For Growing up in Bangladesh, I have seen with my own eyes how street children suffer every day. These children live without basic rights — no proper food, no clean clothes, no education, and no one to protect or care for them. Many of them are orphans or abandoned, living under open skies, exposed to hunger, abuse, and disease. I could not ignore their pain. I decided to take a stand. That’s why I started this fundraiser — “Stand with 100 Bangladeshi Street Children and Change a Life.” I believe that even a small act of kindness can transform lives. And together, we can bring light into the darkest corners. My Goal My goal is to raise enough funds to support 100 street children by: Providing daily meals and clean drinking water Giving access to safe shelter or day-care support Offering basic education and life-skills training Supporting mental and emotional well-being through love and care These children are not just “poor kids.” They are dreamers. They are potential doctors, teachers, artists, and leaders — if only we give them a chance. Who This Fundraiser Helps This fundraiser directly supports children living on the streets of cities like Dhaka and Chattogram. Many of them are between 5 to 14 years old. They work in garbage dumps, beg at traffic signals, or roam the streets without any protection. These are the children who are often forgotten. But they are not hopeless. With your support, we can restore their childhood — give them joy, safety, and a future. --- Let’s stand beside them. Let’s be the reason a child smiles. Every donation matters. Every life counts.

"A Journey of Hope – Reuniting with My Family"

"A Journey of Hope – Reuniting with My Family"
Dear supports, Peace be upon you, My name is Yossef Alhallaq, an English teacher and the founder of the Smart Institute for Training and Development in Gaza. For years, our center empowered children and youth with language, life skills, and emotional support. But everything changed. Due to the difficult circumstances in Gaza, our institute was forced to close. The children we once taught are displaced, and the dreams we once nurtured now hang in uncertainty. Personally, I find myself facing another painful reality: my family is separated. My wife and son are currently in Egypt, and I remain here in Gaza. The cost to leave is sky-high due to restricted borders and the humanitarian crisis — has made it impossible for me to reunite with them. Though I continue to volunteer in the field of social-emotional learning (SEL) and mental health support for children. However, my ability to continue is being crushed by war, conflict, displacement, and separation. I long for a safe place, for peace, and for the chance to be with my family again. Attached is a short overview of my story and contact details. Please note that I am fully prepared to provide official documents and photos that verify my identity, my professional background, and all the information shared in this message. With deep respect and hope, Yossef Alhallaq

support My Master's Program
My name is Sabir Khan, and my journey to higher education has been one of perseverance against challenging circumstances. I live with my nine siblings and family on the Pak-Afghan border, where my elder brother is the sole earning member. Driven by a deep commitment to support my family and pursue my academic aspirations, I recently came to Qatar to find work and contribute. Despite holding a Bachelor's in Business Administration with a distinction of 93%, and being eligible for numerous positions, I've faced significant hurdles in securing employment here. For several months, finding a job has been incredibly difficult, largely due to the prevailing "favor system" in the job market. This experience has only strengthened my resolve to secure a future where I can apply my skills and truly make a difference. Against these odds, I've achieved a remarkable feat: I've been accepted into the prestigious Master's degree program in Applied Data Science at the University of L'Aquila, Italy! This isn't just a degree; it's a critical step towards building a better future for myself and my family, contributing to the dynamic field of data science, and inspiring others from my community who face similar barriers. However, the financial challenge remains substantial. I need to raise 12,000 Euros to cover my tuition fees and living expenses for the program. Without these funds, this incredible opportunity will remain just a dream, despite my efforts to earn a living and my strong academic background. I am reaching out to kind-hearted individuals and organizations who believe in the power of education and supporting ambitious students who are determined to overcome adversity. Your generous contribution will directly help me: Cover my tuition fees at the University of L'Aquila. Fund my living expenses during my studies in Italy. Every euro brings me closer to realizing this dream and making a tangible difference. I am determined to succeed and make the most of this opportunity, not just for myself, but to pave a path for my family and community. Please consider donating today and become a part of my journey. Your support will not only transform my life but also send a powerful message of hope and possibility to those facing similar struggles. Thank you for your time and generosity.
