My name is Tharaka Chandrasekara, age 27, from Sri Lanka. Life has been very painful for me. My mother passed away in 2017 and my father in 2020, leaving me without parents at a young age. After their loss, I held on to their savings as my hope for a future. But in 2024, I was scammed and lost \$25,000 — my parents’ hard-earned savings. That broke me deeply, financially and emotionally. As if that wasn’t enough, I am now fighting anal cancer. Still, I do my best to stay strong. I work as an accountant at a private company and I graduated from *South Eastern University with a BBA in Marketing (Specialized).
