Dear Friends, My name is Drea, and I’m reaching out during a particularly challenging time in my life. Since February 28th, I have been experiencing heavy bleeding, extreme fatigue, lightheadedness, and severe pelvic pain. This ongoing issue has led to anemia, significantly affecting my daily life. After undergoing several tests, including a transvaginal ultrasound and biopsy, I was diagnosed with submucosal fibroids—non-cancerous growths in or around the uterus. These fibroids have drastically impacted my quality of life, making it difficult for me to work or engage socially, as I often cannot leave the house without fear of an accident. My doctor has advised that, due to the size and location of my fibroids, a myomectomy may not be the best option. Instead, a hysteroscopic myomectomy has been recommended. Unfortunately, the healthcare system in my country does not offer minimally invasive procedures, so I have had to seek treatment abroad. The total cost for the surgery, including travel and accommodation, amounts to $7,000. I am reaching out to ask for your support. Your generosity would help cover the cost of the procedure, my stay, and my flight. This assistance would mean the world to me and would help me regain the quality of life I once enjoyed. I am Zeina's mother.. After we emerged from death.. After our home and livelihood were destroyed The occupation expelled me and my family. I am speaking to you today for my 8-year-old daughter Zeina. She is a patient with special needs and suffers from quadriplegia due to brain damage. The second is two and a half years old and the third is one and a half years old from northern Gaza. They forced us to flee on 11/8/2023. We became homeless, without clothes and without food. Now we live in a nylon tent and we are trying to survive in it despite the severe cold and rain. My daughters feel very cold and I cannot do anything for them. Because of the war I became unemployed, my family has no income and I cannot provide less than you can imagine for my family due to the huge increase in prices. The money we collect will serve two vital purposes. First, it will enable the treatment of my daughter Zeina, a special needs patient who suffers from severe brain damage and provides her with basic needs such as food, water, clothing, diapers and a wheelchair. Second, it will enable my family to escape the horrors of war in Gaza and provide them with the means to seek safety in a safer environment. The money will be instrumental in rebuilding our lives, whether in Gaza after the war or elsewhere, where peace and stability provide an opportunity for a new beginning. We greatly appreciate that. We appeal to you for your kindness and humanity to help my sick daughter and my family during these difficult times. Hello, my name is Rabih. Due to steroid treatment during the COVID period, I have developed severe osteonecrosis in both hips. An MRI scan has revealed extensive destruction of the femoral heads. I am in excruciating pain and completely unable to walk—even a single step—relying entirely on a wheelchair for mobility. This debilitating condition has rendered me unable to care for my family or maintain any semblance of normal life. I urgently require Total Hip Replacement surgery for both hips to regain mobility and alleviate the pain. The first surgery needs to be performed immediately, followed by the second within 2-3 months. Performing both surgeries simultaneously is not advisable due to the potential adverse effects on my overall health.
