Cold rain seeps through worn-out tents that can barely withstand light showers, let alone heavy rains and storms. Children shiver in the biting cold, and families lack even the most basic means of warmth. The skyrocketing prices of winter clothing make it nearly impossible for many to afford proper protection against the harsh weather. Amidst this heart-wrenching reality, there is a simple yet impactful solution: a tarpaulin sheet. This durable material, priced between $150 and $200 depending on size and timing of purchase, could be a lifeline. It can repair torn tents, prevent water leakage, and create better shelter for these vulnerable families. Instead of the costly alternative of new tents, tarpaulins offer a practical and effective way to shield countless people from the brutal winter conditions. The people of Gaza are not looking for pity; they want peace, dignity, and their fundamental right to live. They fight to survive, but they are being worn down physically and emotionally with each passing day. Standing with them in this critical moment is not a choice but a moral duty. I am here to ask you for urgent assistance in evacuating my family from Gaza to a safe place. We left our home in Gaza and were displaced many times under inhumane conditions, suffering from all forms of oppression, disease, pollution, and lack of security and treatment The occupation bombed my family's homes and killed many of our loved ones, friends and relatives, and we wait for death every minute. I have been rejecting the idea of traveling from Gaza since the start of the war, but I have a feeling of fear of losing my family, and then feeling remorse will be of no use. I apologize that I had to do this. I am asking you to help evacuate my family from the hell of war to a safe place, provide temporary shelter for my family, and secure the necessary needs of the family during this difficult period. As the cost of leaving Gaza is very high for a large number of individuals, my family, under these difficult circumstances, is beyond my ability. Current situation: So far, my family has been displaced nine times, enduring untold hardships along the way, living in inhumane conditions. The constant threat of invasion and attack on Rafah hovers over them, putting their lives in greater danger. Asking for Help: I started this fundraising campaign to urgently raise money to help my family leave Gaza as soon as possible. The plan is to apply for asylum anywhere, the United States, Canada or Europe. South Sudan, as a newly formed nation, has already faced many challenges, including a long-lasting civil war that has left the country with limited resources and capacity to respond to natural disasters like the current flooding. Some of the aid agencies that operate in South Sudan, such as the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and International Rescue Committee (IRC) are overwhelmed with the needs of refugees in the country. This has resulted in the flood victims not receiving any attention and assistance from these agencies. The situation of the flood survivors is dire.
