Help Our Friends in Crisis: Your Support Matters!
We have a heartfelt request for you. Two amazing individuals who hold a special place in our hearts are going through an incredibly tough time. We are determined to support them, but we can't do it alone, which is why we need your help. Together, we can really help them during a time of heavy need.
Let us introduce you to these remarkable individuals, without revealing their names to respect their privacy. The first is a resilient 29-year-old single mother, raising a 5-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy in Lebanon (with whom we have attached a photo). Unfortunately, she recently lost her job as a cleaner, and finding new employment has been an uphill battle. With no income, she faces eviction, struggles to provide for her children's basic needs, and fears they may even miss out on an education in the upcoming year.
Our second friend, a 25-year-old single male, abandoned by his parents since 14 years old, is finally in his second year of pursuing a degree in agricultural engineering at university, after years of trying to afford enrolling at a university; fees in Lebanon are high. He has no social support, no family around either, and a sudden job loss has left him in dire conditions and at risk of eviction. He urgently needs financial assistance to pay off a debt that threatens his shelter, cover his essential expenses including university, and secure his survival until he's back on his feet. We've attached pictures of the couch and chair he studies on and lives on, so you can have a clearer picture.
Lebanon is a country grappling with an unprecedented crisis, and has experienced a shocking 90% devaluation of the Lebanese Lira since 2019. Poverty, desperation, and crime rates are soaring, making life incredibly challenging for its citizens.
We're determined to launch this small initiative to support our friends who have always been there for us and for countless others in times of need. They are really unique, special, and soft-hearted, strong people, and they need support now more than ever.
