Help Us Fight Waste and Empower Youth in Mali
Help Us Fight Waste and Empower Youth in Mali
In Mali, waste pollution silently harms our communities—poisoning our environment, endangering our health, and threatening our future. At EEYE (Environmental Education and Youth Empowerment), we believe education is the key to change. We work in the midst of poverty, insecurity, and hunger—where waste is often seen as the least urgent problem. But we know the truth: a cleaner environment means healthier lives, safer communities, and real hope for the future. With your support, we can: - Provide waste collection bins in schools and communities - Train young people in recycling and waste management - Raise awareness through local campaigns and workshops - Empower a generation to build a cleaner, more sustainable Mali We’re doing our part. Will you join us? Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to a healthier, empowered, and waste-free Mali. Donate today and be part of the change. #CleanMali #YouthForChange #WasteNot #SupportEEYE #ActNow

Hydrocephalus baby born
Hydrocephalus baby born
My child was born via cesarean section at Al-Roum Hospital in Beirut. Since birth, he suffered from a brain condition diagnosed as hydrocephalus, which required surgery at two months of age to implant a drainage device (shunt). At six months old, it was discovered that the device had failed, resulting in a build-up of fluid, brain pressure, lack of oxygen, and temporary cardiac arrest. An urgent second surgery was performed. Afterwards, he developed seizures due to abnormal brain activity and has been on anti-epileptic medication since then. At the age of one year, a third surgery was conducted due to previous surgical errors. Since then, my child has experienced physical and developmental delays, including difficulty walking and delayed speech. Current Condition (Age: 4 years): Delayed walking and inability to balance properly. Severe speech delay and inability to express himself. General motor delay, including fine and gross motor skills. Suffers from brain seizures and is on continuous medication. Undergoes regular sessions of speech therapy, sensory and motor therapy, and occupational therapy. Unable to attend school due to his special medical needs. Social and Economic Situation: The child is the only son and requires full-time care by his mother. The family suffers from severe financial hardship and cannot afford the continuous medical expenses. Expenses include: monthly medications, therapy sessions, frequent medical check-ups, transportation, and additional needs. Purpose of This Report: We kindly ask for support from humanitarian organizations, charitable institutions, and generous donors to assist this child in receiving the proper treatment and support he needs to improve his quality of life. All medical reports, tests, and radiology images are available and officially certified.

Powering Breath: Affordable Ventilators for Africa
Powering Breath: Affordable Ventilators for Africa
Hi. My name is Hank DeBey. My team and I are in Africa, and we have developed an amazing new medical device to treat the most lethal diseases in Africa, lung diseases. Lung diseases kill more than three times as many people as malaria. An essential tool for treating lung diseases is the ventilator, but in Africa, ventilators are virtually non-existent. In Africa, there is less than one ventilator for every 100,000 people, while in the USA, there are 35 ventilators for every 100,000. The primary reason ventilators are rarely found in Africa is they are very expensive, ranging from $20,000 to $55,000. Another factor contributing to the scarcity of ventilators in Africa is the fact that they require a procedure called intubation and people sufficiently trained to carry out intubations are about as scarce as the ventilators themselves. We have developed a ventilator that is perfect for use in Africa. We call it the Afri-Genie ventilator, and it offers a truly life-saving solution for millions of people across Africa each year. Our Afri-Genie ventilator is incredibly low-cost at less than $3,000 and it doesn't require intubations to be performed, yet it achieves the basic specifications of conventional ventilators. Those two factors mean that it can be deployed not only in big city hospitals but it can even be used by minimally-trained community health workers in small rural clinics. A key design principle of our Afri-Genie ventilator is the use of locally available materials common across Africa, such as plumbing pipes and automotive repair parts. This eliminates complex, expensive supply chains and simplifies manufacturing and ongoing product support. We urgently need your help to carry out clinical trials of our new ventilator and to start deploying it as widely as possible. Here is How Your Contributions Will Be Used: - Upgrade to fair salaries for our dedicated volunteer team - Upgrade our production capabilities - Conduct 24-hour stress testing of multiple ventilators to prove durability and reliability - Install solar panels to ensure uninterrupted power for testing, despite daily power outages - Relocate to a larger facility that can support expanded operations - Cover clinical trial expenses, including regulatory approvals, supplies, and logistics Of course, these aspirations hinge upon the help you can give us and the actual level of these activities will be scaled according to the donations received Please click the donate button now.

Over time, their mission has continued to grow and adapt to the evolving needs of society: caring for orphans, educating girls, and fostering the human, intellectual, and spiritual development of generations of youth. Today, our school is like a tree with many branches: - An academic school from preschool through to the Brevet. - A technical school offering two specializations: Hospitality and IT/Accounting. - A boarding facility welcoming vulnerable children from across Lebanon, of all cultures and religions, aged 6 to 18. - A daycare center for children aged 1 to 3. Our students can pursue state-recognized diploma programs: the Brevet Professionnel track (BP1, BP2), followed by the Baccalauréat Technique (BT1 to BT3), paving the way to professional independence. Our school, a Catholic and French-speaking institution recognized as an NGO, welcomes around 340 students, supported by 50 teachers and administrative staff. More than just a place of learning, it is a place of life and hope, where everyone is welcomed, heard, and supported. We believe in an education that gives meaning to life, one that nurtures humanity, responsibility, and freedom. An education that teaches young people to use their talents in service of the common good and prepares them to build a more just, fraternal, and beautiful society. Since October 2018, like our country, our school has been going through a series of deep crises. The state no longer provides the financial support we are entitled to for our social institution and for the primary and technical schools. Families have also been severely affected: nearly 50% of parents are unemployed or receive only half a salary, making it difficult for them to pay school fees. And yet, our team remain committed and continue to welcome, educate, and support all our students without exception. Every day, with faith and courage, we carry on our mission, sowing the seeds of knowledge and learning. In this unprecedented context where we are unable to meet the growing operational needs of the school but are still striving to honor our commitments to our educational staff and ease the financial burden on families, we need your support. Today, more than ever, we appeal to the generosity of our friends and benefactors. By sponsoring an orphan or a student facing severe social or financial hardship, you become part of a powerful human chain, helping sustain our educational mission and keeping the flame of knowledge, life, and hope alive in the eyes of all our students, without exception.
