Fundraiser for medical treatments
I am fundraising for my medical treatments. Because of a brain aneurysm, I had a brain coil embolization done in 2021. Since then, I can't walk and am getting treatments regularly for my high blood pressure and diabetes. Sometimes, I become unconscious.

Shangombo Village Outreach Program
Shangombo Village Outreach Program
Senanga Baptist Church P.O. Box [920100] Senanga, Western Province Zambia Date: [10/04/2025] Subject: Appeal for Support Towards Lay Leaders’ Salaries in Remote Church Plants Dear Brethren in Christ, Greetings in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I write on behalf of Senanga Baptist Church to humbly request your partnership in supporting the work of the gospel among some of the remotest parts of the Western Province of Zambia. By God’s grace, we have seen church plants established in the following communities, where dedicated lay leaders are faithfully serving: Church Plant Lay Leader Monthly Support Needed Natukoma Brother Mushe Tikanyiso $150 Mulangu Brother Kekelwa Wakung’uma $150 Namoon do Brother Simite Liswaniso $150 Kanyau Brother Tapelo Kukwatelela $150 State Ranch Brother Sianga Malembo $150 Nasimbandu Brother Sitimela Namataa $150 Mukenge Brother Sitali Lusiyanzao $150 Total Needed Monthly: $1,050 These locations remain among the least reached with the message of salvation. The brothers serving there labor under extremely difficult conditions—areas with little to no social amenities, poor road networks, and severe economic hardships. Yet, they continue to proclaim Christ, shepherd small congregations, disciple new believers, and reach out to the lost. To sustain them and their families, we are appealing for $150 per month per leader. Your generosity will release them to focus fully on gospel ministry without the heavy burden of daily survival needs. We prayerfully ask you to consider joining hands with us in this gospel endeavor. Whether through regular monthly support or a one-time gift, your partnership will directly advance the cause of Christ in these unreached communities. “How shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things’” (Romans 10:15). On behalf of Senanga Baptist Church, I thank you for your prayers, love, and support in the gospel. May the Lord richly bless you as you serve Him in this way. In Christ’s service, Pastor Poniso Kuyumbana Senanga Baptist Church Western Province, Zambia

Urgent Help needed for Displaced family with kids
Urgent Help needed for Displaced family with kids
My name is Mohammed Aziz, I am 39 years old, originally from North Gaza and now displaced in Deir al-Balah with my family. Our situation is extremely difficult. I am the father of four young children who desperately need food, clothing, and shelter. We have been forcibly displaced more than 15 times, and during our last evacuation, we lost everything. We have no tent, no safe place to stay, and no resources left. I was also injured during the war and urgently need medical treatment, but we cannot afford it. My children are hungry, cold, and in desperate need of support. We have lost hope and are pleading for your help. Your generosity can provide us with food, clothing, medical care, and shelter, and give my children a chance to survive and feel safe again. Please stand with my children in this time of crisis. Every donation, no matter how small, can save lives.

River Nyakomisaro Half Marathon-2026
River Nyakomisaro Half Marathon-2026
River Nyakomisaro, which flows prominently through Kisii Town in Kisii County, has long served as an ecological corridor and cultural landmark in the region. Historically, the river supported domestic water needs, agricultural irrigation, and ecological balance by serving as a habitat for aquatic biodiversity. For local communities, it has also held significant cultural meaning, often used in rituals, social gathering sites, and community storytelling. The river also adds aesthetic value to the urban environment and has the potential for urban greening and recreational use. In recent decades, however, the river has become increasingly polluted due to unregulated urban growth, inadequate solid waste management infrastructure, and failure in enforcement of environmental regulations. Key drivers of degradation include the illegal dumping of garbage, especially at night by custodians following instructions from property owners; raw sewage from leaking sewer lines flowing directly into the river; motorcycle washing activities discharging oil and dirt; and the general apathy of the population towards the river's conservation. EHF’s 2023 observational study reported that approximately 75% of the waste found in the river originates from urban households and businesses within Kisii Town. Children have been seen swimming in the river despite the visible filth and local residents often collect water for cleaning or washing not knowing it is contaminated with harmful bacteria like E. coli. Motorbike riders use the river to wash their vehicles, contributing to the oil and hydrocarbon contamination of the water. Informal waste dumps along the banks frequently collapse during rains, leading to surges of plastic and organic waste into the river’s flow. The deteriorating health of River Nyakomisaro has far-reaching implications for human health, biodiversity, economic development, and climate resilience. There is a direct correlation between the pollution of the river and increased cases of waterborne diseases such as cholera, typhoid, and gastrointestinal infections in Kisii Town. The local health centers have repeatedly reported spikes in disease outbreaks after heavy rainfall events which wash accumulated waste into residential areas. It is in this context that EHF seeks to host the River Nyakomisaro Half Marathon as a flagship public engagement campaign. The objective is to utilize sport and mass mobilization to shine a spotlight on the river’s plight while galvanizing support for a structured, multi-stakeholder clean-up and conservation effort. The marathon will provide a participatory platform for civic education, partnership building, and grassroots empowerment
