Donate for a School Bus
Moussa is an eight-year-old child with Cerebral Palsy. He lives in Borj El Chmali Village, and has been missing his speech therapy, Occupational therapy, and Psychotherapy sessions for 3 months. Consequently, He showed a huge draw back in his rehabilitation plan due to the fact that his parents cannot afford transportation expenses to Al Bassma Center for Special Needs in Qana Village, Southern Lebanon.
Moussa is not the only one facing this problem, about 30 children with special needs are just resting at homes, deprived of their right to proper education and the opportunity of mental and physical development just because of their financial situation that is preventing them from reaching the center.
Al Bassma Center has been established by Cana Youth Association since 2018. It provides free education, counseling, and diagnostic services for vulnerable children with special needs; However, the center is not able to cover transportation expenses of the students. As a result, only 15 students are currently enrolled in the center, and about 30 students can’t reach the center.
We are fundraising to provide a school bus for these children to enable them to reach the center safely and continue their development process. Rehabilitation sessions are critical for them, and any delays can affect their mental, physical, emotional, personal and social capabilities, and hence their integration into society and self-reliance.
With your support we will be able to make the dreams of these kids come true: to learn, to develop their talents, to meet new friends, to be productive, and to feel that they are part of the society.
A donation of any amount would truly help us reach our goal.
Thank you in advance.
