Help Save "Thor" My Labrador Son
Thor, my sweet Labrador mix, came into my life when he was just a tiny, two-month-old puppy. From the moment I saw his curious eyes and felt his gentle spirit, he captured my heart completely. Now, at 2 years and 4 months old, Thor still believes he’s that little puppy, bounding around and filling my home with laughter and love. He’s always been so full of energy, barking to keep everyone close and ready for one more game. But six months ago, everything changed. Thor accidentally ate chocolate, and his health spiraled fast. He spent two days in intensive care, and the doctors warned it was a close call. After bringing him home, my relief turned to fear as his health took another frightening turn. He collapsed, his body shaking uncontrollably, his legs spasming, and his mouth foaming. It looked like an epileptic seizure, something he had never experienced before. Since then, I have been searching tirelessly for answers. Doctor after doctor quickly diagnosed epilepsy without any tests, which felt wrong and only left me more anxious. Finally, a compassionate vet suggested that Thor’s episodes might be tied to his stomach. With a special gastrointestinal diet, his episodes lessened, but only temporarily. Over the past month, his symptoms have returned, worse than ever. Thor is now barely eating. He throws up nearly everything, his energy drained, his once-bright spirit dimmed. He looks at me with those sad eyes, wanting to play but getting tired so quickly. It breaks my heart to see him like this, knowing he’s suffering and can’t understand why. The last doctor said Thor urgently needs an MRI, CT scan, and neurological tests to understand what’s happening. These tests alone cost $1,840, and with my savings depleted and Lebanon’s situation making everything harder, I can’t afford them or any further treatment he might need. He’s not just a pet; Thor is my son, my companion, and my family. I’m terrified of losing him. Any help, no matter the amount, brings us closer to saving him. Please, if you can, help me give Thor the chance to get well and live the joyful life he deserves. How I Will Use the Funds Raised: • MRI • CT Scan • Neurological Tests • Abdominal Ultrasound • Chest X-Ray • Additional Blood Tests • Special Gastrointestinal Food • Ongoing Medical Care and Medications Your support will allow me to give Thor the best medical care possible and a real chance at recovery. Thank you for helping me bring back the happy, playful dog I love so much. If you're already in Lebanon you can donate using Whish or OMT directly: Mary Boutros +961 3 918 049

Help Ivy Get the Surgery She Needs to Walk Again

Help Ivy Get the Surgery She Needs to Walk Again
I have a heartfelt request for you. An extraordinary individual, truly a fighter in life, and his dog, are both going through an incredibly tough time. Marcelino's dog, Ivy (10 years old, female), practically his baby, is suffering from severe paralysis in both her legs and urgently requires surgery. However, he cannot afford the costs of the necessary scans, surgery, physical therapy, and medication. He needs assistance in covering these expenses, and together, we can make a profound impact on both their lives. Ivy is a beautiful dog with a sweet personality. She's intelligent, playful, sensitive, protective, and loving. At 10 years old, she has been Marcelino's cherished companion, his family, and his support system since he was a teenager. Despite the challenges Marcelino has faced, Ivy has consistently brought a smile to his face, given him hope to persevere, and reminded him of his love for nature, exploration, and play. Unfortunately, in the last few weeks, Ivy's left leg started to lose strength until it became completely paralyzed, and now her right leg is also paralyzed. She can no longer walk, isn't eating, is dealing with incontinence, and is in extreme pain. The last 2 pictures slightly depict the beginning of her paralysis. We did not want to place very disturbing images online, so Marcelino may share more pictures and videos if asked. Marcelino Bitar, a 26-year-old Lebanese working student, is like a brother to me and has one of the purest hearts I know. He is currently striving to continue his education in agricultural engineering while grappling with the escalating costs of living in crisis-stricken Lebanon. Marcelino is already heavily burdened with rent, tuition, transportation, medication, and other fees that have become exorbitant due to inflation in our country. As Ivy is considered a severe case, she requires surgery to remove the herniated disc material and relieve pressure on the spinal cord. The surgeon mentioned that she will likely need post-surgery physical therapy and rehabilitation to regain strength and mobility. The estimated costs of scans, surgery, physiotherapy, and medicines will likely range from 1500 to 2000 USD. While we do not know the exact amount yet, we have set 1700 USD as our target. Marcelino cannot afford these costs, and I am unable to support him on my own, which is why we need your help. I understand that we can't solve every problem, but I am determined to launch this small initiative to support my friend, who has always been there for me and countless others in times of need, and to help Ivy walk again because I can't even begin to convey the amount of suffering she's in. Your support, no matter how big or small, will make an immediate and significant difference in their lives. Please join me in standing by Ivy and Marcelino during this heavy period of need. Your contribution will not only impact their lives but also serves as a testament to human solidarity and our ability to stand by one another in times of need. Thank you. Note: Marcelino has given his consent to share the above information and also to share his contact details with anyone who requests it.

Stop Bouggie's Cry

Stop Bouggie's Cry
I found by coincidence Yorki in the street near my work in 2007. I thought that I would ever love a dog, but Yorki literally changed my Life since then.. A couple of years later, in 2011, Cookie was brought to the family. And with Yorki, Cookie gave birth to Bouggie in 2012. Sadly, in June 2018, Yorki passed away after a long battle with cancer. It was heartbreaking for me. In the beginning of 2019, Bouggie’s behaviour became very weird. He couldn’t move his neck and if someone touched him he would start screaming. This was very unfamiliar because since the day he was born, Bouggie was a hyperactive dog, joyful and very playful. Hence, after taking him to the veterinary in February 2019, Bouggie was diagnosed with Intervertebral Disc Disease. The veterinary gave Bouggie anti-inflammatories, and he’s been on them for the last 2 years. However, with time Bouggie’s disk started hardening. This is where, in the beginning of February 2021, and in addition to Bouggie’s constant pain, Bouggie started losing his capacity to walk. So we did the surgery in the beginning of April 2021 ,and Bouggie start walking again. Now before around one month Bouggie start crying and stop walking again . I contacted his doctor so he ask for a new MRI . So when he checked the MRI he said that the disk in the same place . To be honest I didn’t believe what he said . so I took the MRI to another doctor ,and as you can see in the MRI report in the 1st operation they removed a wrong disk c5-c6 , when they should remove c3-c4 as per the MRI report. Now Bouggie as you can see in the video attached to this case can’t walk and keep crying all the time, and need a surgery as soon as possible, and will cost 850USD. In the 1st operation I paid everything MRI, Blood Test ,Operation and medicines when the dollar rate was around 12000 . Now with 25000 lira/USD I paid again MRI ,Blood test and Lecture outside Lebanon for the MRI Pictures to make the comparison between the old and the new MRI. Bouggie is my best friend and I feel that he is a part of my heart ,I can’t see him crying and do nothing but I’m unable to pay the operation cost and the doctor doesn’t make any discount , I should work for around 5 or 6 months to get the operation fees . I need your help to save Bouggie’s life because he stops eating and I feel that I will lost him . If you need any further information or documents I’m ready .You can contact me by WhatsApp 03232998.
