Thor, my sweet Labrador mix, came into my life when he was just a tiny, two-month-old puppy. From the moment I saw his curious eyes and felt his gentle spirit, he captured my heart completely. Now, at 2 years and 4 months old, Thor still believes he’s that little puppy, bounding around and filling my home with laughter and love. He’s always been so full of energy, barking to keep everyone close and ready for one more game. But six months ago, everything changed. Thor accidentally ate chocolate, and his health spiraled fast. He spent two days in intensive care, and the doctors warned it was a close call. After bringing him home, my relief turned to fear as his health took another frightening turn. He collapsed, his body shaking uncontrollably, his legs spasming, and his mouth foaming. It looked like an epileptic seizure, something he had never experienced before. Since then, I have been searching tirelessly for answers. Doctor after doctor quickly diagnosed epilepsy without any tests, which felt wrong and only left me more anxious. Finally, a compassionate vet suggested that Thor’s episodes might be tied to his stomach. With a special gastrointestinal diet, his episodes lessened, but only temporarily. Over the past month, his symptoms have returned, worse than ever. Thor is now barely eating. He throws up nearly everything, his energy drained, his once-bright spirit dimmed. He looks at me with those sad eyes, wanting to play but getting tired so quickly. It breaks my heart to see him like this, knowing he’s suffering and can’t understand why. The last doctor said Thor urgently needs an MRI, CT scan, and neurological tests to understand what’s happening. These tests alone cost $1,840, and with my savings depleted and Lebanon’s situation making everything harder, I can’t afford them or any further treatment he might need. He’s not just a pet; Thor is my son, my companion, and my family. I’m terrified of losing him. Any help, no matter the amount, brings us closer to saving him. Please, if you can, help me give Thor the chance to get well and live the joyful life he deserves. Rural Physically Handicapped Center For Rehabilitation is non-profit organization. Our organization is serving in rural area. This area is very backward area. Rains are very less. There is no drinking water in some villages. Farmers grow crops depending on rains. There is no water in the forest close to the villages. Monkeys in the forest cannot find food and come to the villages for food. The groups of monkeys that come to the villages are completely destroying the crops made by the farmers for food. Here the farmers have to do crops, which means they take loans and do the crops. These crops are being destroyed by this group of monkeys. They are like this in every village. Our organization estimates that there are 3000 monkeys in the villages. Due to these groups of monkeys, many farmers leave their villages for livelihood and migrate with their families to neighboring states for labor. Some farmers are destroying the crops and all these monkeys are secretly killing the herd. Some monkeys are dying due to electrical wire and some monkeys are being killed by street dogs and some monkeys are dying due to lack of food. People are forgetting humanity. For 5 years, we have ran this rescue mission with so much passion, love, pouring our soul and heart into it❤️ We have successfully rescued, rehabilitated and rehomed over 100 dogs abroad, in different parts of the world and currently have 136 rescues, 80 of them are dogs and 56 of them are cats, between these babies, there’s the 2 legged dogs, blind dogs and cats, handicapped, sick, seniors, cancer patients etc.. Unfortunately it’s been months now and we have been severely affected by the conflict, leading us to lose 99% of our supporters. This had led us to become in debt, and with every month, we sank more and more💔 Currently we owe over 16,423$ just in boarding fees, food fees, pet taxi fees, vet fees, medicine, medical food etc… With the situation worsening, more people started dumping their dogs and cats, we started seeing more abuse and more critical cases, like paralyzed dogs and cats, shot etc… leading to us to take over too many cats and dogs in a short amount of time. We are now reaching out to our community so we can reach our goal to cover our fees until End of September. This goal would be easily reachable if everyone that sees it, donates as little as 1$. YES 1$ will change our fate. As of today, we are unfortunately officially closing our doors to all new intakes. This decision was not taken lightly, it is with a heartbroken heart, a sore heart and endless tears💔 so many animals need us but the financial constraint is stopping us.
