Sustainable Mushroom Growing for a Greener Future
Personal Details: My name is U. Isuru Harsha, a Master's research student in Agriculture by research, currently studying in Malaysia. The Problem: Imagine a world where the food we eat is grown with fewer chemicals, is more nutritious, and helps protect our planet. My research aims to make this a reality by tackling a major challenge in mushroom farming. Many mushroom farms use chemical fertilizers to get a good yield. This is not only expensive but can also harm the environment. Our Solution: My research focuses on grey oyster mushrooms, a delicious and highly nutritious crop. I am investigating a sustainable, natural alternative: Phosphorus-Solubilizing Bacteria (PSB). These beneficial microbes are tiny powerhouses that can unlock phosphorus, a vital nutrient, from the soil. By adding PSB to the mushroom's growing substrate, we can provide the nutrients mushrooms need to grow strong and healthy without the use of synthetic fertilizers. My goal is to use this method to increase mushroom productivity by up to 80%, improve mushroom quality, and boost the income of local farmers. What Your Support Will Do: Your generous contribution will directly fund the essential elements of this research: Lab Equipment and Materials: This includes everything from glassware and petri dishes to the specialized media needed to culture the bacteria and mycelium. Substrate and Mushroom Spawn: We will use agricultural byproducts like straw and rice husks for the cultivation experiments, as well as the grey oyster mushroom spawn from a local farm. Data Analysis: Funding will help cover the costs of statistical software and other resources needed to analyze our findings. Field Experiments: This will allow us to move our work from the lab to a real-world setting to test its effectiveness on a larger scale. By supporting this campaign, you are not just funding a research project; you are investing in a more sustainable future for agriculture. You are empowering farmers, protecting our environment, and helping to bring healthier food to our tables.

Lights, Camera… France!
Hi everyone, I’m super happy to share that I’ve been accepted to 3iS School for Acting, a dream I’ve had since I was a child. It’s the only school that accepted me, and I don’t want to miss this chance because of money, nor wait another year. Honestly, I feel a bit embarrassed to ask for help. I know I’m not sick, I don’t lack food or medicine… But this opportunity means so much to me. With the crisis in Lebanon, even while working two jobs, I can’t save enough to cover my first months in France. So, I’ve created a fundraiser, and if you can help, even a small amount would make a huge difference. And if you can’t, sharing the link would also be a huge support. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support!

A SEPARATION (DOCUMENTARY): Lebanon Remembered
My name is Alexandre Ayoub. I’m the writer, director, and producer of a short film called A Separation (USINE NOIRE PRODUCTION), which I filmed between Lebanon and France. The film explores the emotional experience of leaving your country behind, something many of us have had to do, sometimes more than once. Through this project, we want to talk honestly about Lebanon: the beauty and the pain, the things we love and the things that break our hearts. It’s also about the struggle of living abroad, missing a place that’s so deeply a part of who you are, even when it’s not always easy to love. To help bring this story to life, I need to acquire the rights to 15 black and white photographs from Lebanon’s past. These images capture moments, places, and people that deserve to be seen. These photos are essential to the film, but I can’t do it alone... I need your help. I’m asking for your support to raise the funds needed to secure these rights. This film means everything to me, to my friends, to my family, and to so many people I’ve met along the way. We need to tell our story, more loudly, more truthfully, more proudly, and beyond our borders. Too often, Lebanon’s history is erased, hidden, or treated as taboo. I want to help change that by making it visible, present, and human. Every contribution, big or small, means the world to me. Your support will help bring this story to light, and I’m deeply grateful to everyone who believes in it and stands with us. Thank you, truly. -- .
