🙏 Help Me Save Our Family Home from the Bank
My name is Upeksha, and I’m writing this with a heavy heart.
We are a small family living in Sri Lanka, and right now, we are facing the real possibility of losing our home. We are in urgent need of $100,000 to settle a debt that is now out of our control.
A few years ago, my husband and I took out a loan to support our family. Shortly after, my husband unexpectedly lost his job. He is now 50 years old and has been unable to find stable employment, despite his efforts.
Our loan has an extremely high interest rate of 33% per year, and despite doing everything we can to repay it, the amount has grown beyond what we can manage.
I am currently the only person working, earning LKR 100,000 per month, and supporting:
My elderly mother
My grandmother
Our two daughters
We’ve sold what we could and cut all non-essential expenses. But now, the bank has given us a final deadline of September 25th, 2025. If we cannot settle the loan by then, we will lose our home.
This is the house our daughters grew up in. It’s the roof over the heads of three generations of women. Losing it would be devastating.
