Urgent Medicine Donation
We successfully completed another handover of urgent cancer medicine today with donations through Raise Sri Lanka fundraising. Medicine worth 2.54mn LKR was donated to the Cancer Unit, Teaching Hospital Kokgala as a part of the initiative to provide urgent medical relief to Sri Lanka. As per the doctors, the medicines donated (Inj. Filgrastim 200mg/0.5ml and IHuman Albumin (low salt) CSL Behring 20% 50ml) will be used to improve the patient care services and would be a great help for patients with cancer. And unfortunately, due to shortage, the medicine has been unavailable and the cancer patients have been waiting for relief for days now.. 🙁 We managed to quickly take action and supply part of the required medicine as soon as we can thanks to all your donations through different channels! Thank you! ❤ The donation was acknowledged by Dr. M.H.K. Kumara in the presence of the suppliers and Raise Sri Lanka committee member Sagara Rathnayake. Internally, volunteer Chushani Samarathunga Welagedara coordinated the efforts to ensure that the request was fulfilled urgently. We have attached proof of handover including the invoice and the letter of acknowledgment and photos for your reference. These donations are made possible due to the generous contributions of donors around the world whose kind gesture is much appreciated by the Raise Sri Lanka charity team. We have received some more requests for urgent medicines from government hospitals around the country.

Help Kazem survive from the genocide in Gaza

Help Kazem survive from the genocide in Gaza
My name is Kazem Abd El Karim Kazem Dughmush, and I’m a 12-year-old boy from Gaza City, Palestine. I am fundraising for my immediate and extended family, who have lost everything in the ongoing war. We used to live a quiet and hopeful life. I was studying at the British International School in Gaza, and I dreamed of continuing my education in the UK. But on October 7, 2023, everything changed. The war destroyed our home, our school, our shops—and our future. Who We Are I live with my father, Abd El Karim Kazem Dughmush, my mother, and my two younger siblings. My sister, who is still a baby, was severely burned in an airstrike. After three surgeries and 20 days in intensive care, she still needs urgent care abroad, but the siege prevents us from leaving. She is in pain every day. My father was once supported by his late father, Kazem Dughmush, a respected businessman. Together, they managed family businesses that supported 19 families—all of whom are now displaced and suffering. We come from a large extended family: 16 brothers and their families, and our grandmother. All of us are now without homes, jobs, food, or medicine. Why We Are Fundraising We are raising funds to: • Treat my baby sister's burns and help evacuate her to a country where she can get full medical care • Buy food, water, medicine, and clothing for our family and extended relatives • Support 16 families (mostly children and women) who lost everything due to bombings • Rebuild a minimal, dignified life away from the ruins and ashes How the Funds Will Be Used All funds will go directly to Abd El Karim Kazem Dughmush, my father and our family’s caretaker, who is currently in northern Gaza. He will distribute the funds to: • Pay for medical treatment and applications for medical evacuation • Purchase emergency food and clean water from the limited local sources • Provide clothing and hygiene items for the children in the family • Rent or shelter space if available, outside the severely affected northern areas We will maintain receipts, records, and updates to ensure full transparency for every dollar spent. If we are able to travel, we will also use part of the funds to relocate safely and seek treatment for my sister. Our Current Reality We have lost more than 200 relatives, including my 7-month-old cousin, who died from white phosphorous burns. We sleep in tents or destroyed buildings, eating animal feed just to stay alive. There is no school, no future, and no safety here. Please, if you can help us, we will never forget it. Final Note We are not raising funds for any political or armed effort—only for humanitarian survival. Your donation will save lives, bring medical hope to my sister, and help children like me dream again. If you cannot donate, please share this story. Help the world hear our voice. With gratitude, Kazem Abd El Karim Kazem Dughmush 12 years old – Gaza City, Palestine Raising funds for the Dughmush family and 16 extended families.

Build My Dream Home with Me – Your Help Matters!
I am reaching out today with hope and humility to request your support in completing a deeply personal and meaningful project — the construction of my family home. As you can see from the images, the house structure is currently under construction. I have already invested a significant amount into this project, most of it through a bank loan, which has now become financially overwhelming due to rising material costs and economic challenges. This house is not just a building; it represents a future for my family — a place of safety, stability, and dreams. I’ve been working tirelessly and managing the construction step by step, doing everything I can within my limited resources. However, I have now reached a critical stage where additional funding is needed to complete essential work such as roofing, plastering, plumbing, and electricity. That’s why I’m humbly asking for your help. My goal is to raise funds that will ease the financial burden and allow me to bring this home to completion. Your generous donation — no matter how small — will go directly toward construction materials and labor costs. Every rupee or dollar contributed will make a real difference. If you believe in supporting someone working hard to build a better future, please consider being part of this journey. Your kindness can help turn this unfinished structure into a warm, welcoming home. Thank you for reading and for any support you can offer. Please share this with others who may be willing to help. With heartfelt gratitude Gayan Bandara
