I am a graphic designer from Sri Lanka. I applied for a job in Dubai through Facebook because of my family’s financial difficulties. Unfortunately, the owner who hired me was dishonest. It is not a company it is small shop, and he is breaking the contract. Currently, I receive only a salary of 435.35 dollars, and last month I was paid only 280 dollars. I am also forced to do many other tasks outside of my job role. When I asked to leave, the owner demanded a large amount of money from me, but at this moment I cannot afford it. It costs me about 300 dollars every month just for accommodation and food. I have a big family to support, and my grandmother is suffering from cancer, which makes the expenses even heavier.
