His condition is worsening, and doctors have informed me that the only way to save his eyesight is urgent travel to India for a corneal transplant and glaucoma surgery. Unfortunately, this operation is not available in Yemen and requires specialized centers. Hospitals in India have agreed to receive him, but the costs are very high and beyond my means. Au Sénégal, de nombreux enfants vivant dans la rue, notamment les enfants talibés et les jeunes en situation de vulnérabilité, n’ont pas un accès régulier aux soins de santé, à l’hygiène ou à un soutien psychosocial. Organiser une journée de solidarité permet de leur offrir un moment d’attention, d’écoute et de prise en charge gratuite, tout en sensibilisant la communauté. ⸻ 2. Objectifs Objectif général Améliorer le bien-être des enfants de la rue à travers une journée dédiée aux soins gratuits, à la sensibilisation et à la solidarité. Objectifs spécifiques • Offrir des consultations médicales gratuites (généralistes, pédiatrie, soins de base). • Distribuer des kits d’hygiène et éventuellement des médicaments essentiels. • Sensibiliser les enfants sur l’hygiène, la prévention des maladies, l’importance de l’écoute et du respect de soi. • Offrir un espace d’animation bienveillant, sûr et motivant. • Mobiliser les partenaires pour renforcer les actions de protection de l’enfance. ⸻ 3. My brother-in-law, Zahid Qureshi (46 years old), has been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer called Histiocytic Sarcoma. This life-threatening cancer spreads very quickly and requires urgent specialist treatment. His biopsy report shows severe tumour activity, complete lymph node damage, and rapid cancer growth (Ki67: 40%). Doctors have strongly advised immediate treatment, including Flow Cytometry, chemotherapy, and advanced imaging tests — all of which are extremely expensive. Zahid is currently jobless due to his illness. He has no income, no savings, and no financial support system. He does not have a son — he has only one 17-year-old daughter, who is emotionally broken and terrified of losing her father. His wife is struggling to manage both the household and his medical needs. Their financial condition is so weak that they cannot even afford basic tests, let alone full cancer treatment. Before his illness, Zahid was a hardworking and humble man who always stood by his family. Today, he is fighting for his life. Watching him weaken every day, unable to work, unable to support his family, and in constant pain, has been one of the most heartbreaking experiences for all of us.
