A Mother’s Plea for Hope and a Better Future
Hello,
I am the wife of a Lebanese Army soldier and the mother of a young boy. Like many families in Lebanon, we have been struggling under the weight of the ongoing economic crisis. Despite my husband's hard work and dedication, his salary is no longer enough to cover even our family's most basic needs.
Our journey has been especially challenging since the birth of our son. He suffered from severe stomach problems that required frequent hospital visits, treatments, and constant care. By God's grace, he is now four years old and his health has improved significantly. For this blessing, we are deeply thankful.
However, the financial burden from those difficult years, combined with the current economic situation, has left us overwhelmed by debt. Meeting daily expenses such as food, household necessities, and utility bills has become a constant struggle.
We also lack many essential home appliances because we simply cannot afford to replace or purchase them. My greatest wish is to provide my family with a stable home and give my son the childhood he deserves.
As the new school year approaches, our biggest concern is our son's education. Sadly, our financial circumstances have prevented us from enrolling him in school. It breaks my heart because every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and build a brighter future.
