My computer is very old now, and it’s hard to get
I am writing this with a heavy heart, but also with honesty and hope. This is not easy for me, because I have always tried to stand on my own feet and solve my problems by myself. However, at this stage of my life, my situation has become very difficult, and I truly need help.
I am a young person from Sri Lanka, trying to survive and build a better future under very hard economic conditions. Over the past few years, life has been a constant struggle. Prices of food, electricity, internet, transport, and basic daily needs have increased beyond what someone like me can manage. Even small expenses feel like a huge burden now. Every day feels like a challenge just to get through.
At the moment, my biggest problem is my computer. It is extremely old and damaged. It works very slowly, freezes often, and sometimes does not turn on at all. Because of this, I am unable to work properly or learn new skills. In today’s world, a computer is not a luxury. It is a basic necessity, especially for someone who is trying to earn online, learn digital skills, or find remote work opportunities.
I do not have a stable job right now. Due to personal and financial difficulties, I have been struggling to find regular income. I have tried different ways to earn money, but without a properly working computer, almost all opportunities are closed to me. Many online jobs, freelancing platforms, learning courses, and even simple tasks require a reliable computer. Sadly, mine can no longer support any of that.
There are days when I feel completely stuck. I have the motivation to work hard, to learn, and to change my situation, but I lack the basic tools to do so. Watching others move forward while I remain unable to even start is emotionally painful. I am not asking for luxury or comfort. I am only asking for a chance — a chance to work, learn, and stand up again.
The economic situation in my country has made everything worse. Finding a job is extremely difficult, and even when jobs are available, the income is often not enough to cover basic living expenses. Saving money to buy a new computer is nearly impossible for me right now. Every small amount I get goes toward food, bills, and survival. Because of this, buying a computer on my own is simply out of reach.
I need financial support urgently to buy a working computer. This is not something I want for entertainment or personal enjoyment. This is something I need to rebuild my life. With a proper computer, I can learn online skills, apply for freelance work, do remote jobs, and slowly create an income source. It would give me a real opportunity to change my situation instead of staying trapped in it.
Asking for help makes me feel vulnerable, but I have reached a point where I cannot do this alone anymore. I believe that kindness still exists in this world, and that there are people who understand how one small help can change someone’s entire life. Even a single contribution can bring me closer to a future where I am no longer asking for help, but instead standing independently.
I promise that any support I receive will not be wasted. It will be used only for its purpose — to get a working computer that allows me to work, learn, and earn. This support would not only help me today, but it would help me for years to come.
