HELP SUPPORT DISPLACED FAMILIES AND ANIMALS IN LEB
The Sadaqa Team is a community-led initiative run by 8 Lebanese friends who have taken helping their country into their own hands. In a time when we were alone, we united to do the best we could to make this scary time easier for some people. It was our duty as Lebanese civilians. Some of the initiatives we helped: •⁠ ⁠We helped provide 4 schools sheltering displaced families with hundreds of mattresses, pillows, blankets, and other basic necessities. •⁠ ⁠We helped 10 displaced families settle into new homes where nothing was provided. We provided them with essentials such as food, diapers, hygiene products, and monetary aid. •⁠ We donated to 3 dog shelters that operate in the South of Lebanon in war zones and who’s owners are still working on helping, rescuing and sheltering animals. We are constantly working on providing these shelters with money to cover any cost and mainly an operation for an injured animal coming from the bombings, and buying bags of food. ⁠ •⁠ ⁠We donated funds to a running kitchen in the South of Lebanon that cooks daily to provide meals to displaced families in homes and on the streets. So far, we have helped cook 300 meals. •⁠ ⁠We are working towards donating funds to shelters that are helping Syrian and migrant workers who have been rejected from many shelters. •⁠ ⁠We are also donating some funds to a community-led kitchen in Gaza called The Sanabel Team. We have worked to help them operate many times. To this day, we have fundraised to reach a target of 8,000 USD dollars with the support of the international community around the world. But we are asking for your help. Without your donations, we wouldn’t be able to continue doing the work we started and providing aid to displaced families and animals. Our team is working very hard to help a wide range of communities that are in need of support. It is our duty as Lebanese and as the international community to show our solidarity by donating what we can and doing what we can to support our people in this brutal war.

Emergency Funds for the People of Gaza and Lebanon
What we are witnessing happen in Gaza, and now Lebanon, is truly horrifying. And while sometimes we all feel so helpless, there is a way we can help. We must continue to stand in solidarity with the people Gaza and Lebanon, show them we care and we are doing whatever we can to put an end to this nightmare they are living. For now, we need to support as many people as possible -food items, blankets for winter, and anything we can provide to help them with their survival. This fundraiser is going to be split into two, with funds divided 50:50 between a local charity in Lebanon and a charity working hard daily to feed thousands of people in the camps around Gaza. **Documentation will be shared here and on Instagram to update all donors on where the money is being spent, what has been purchased etc.** Lebanon funds to be distributed thanks to @lucyinlebanon and Gaza funds will go to "World Crisis Kitchen" to continue feeding thousands of people daily.

Organized by Rania Taleb, a clinical psychologist based in Toulouse, France, this campaign is deeply personal. Rania herself was forced to leave her home in Southern Lebanon at just one month old due to an Israeli invasion and only saw her village again at the age of 25. We are launching this fundraising campaign at one of the most critical moments for our country and region, as Lebanon faces an unprecedented crisis. Extensive relief efforts are urgently needed. As of October 4, 2024, more than 150 health workers were killed, 15 hospitals attacked and 70 primary health care centers and emergency medical services damaged, resulting in 6 hospitals being completely out of service. Our current focus is on gathering donations to provide vital health care support to facilities and medical personnel across Lebanon, ensuring they can continue delivering essential health services. Every contribution helps us reach more people and meet the growing needs. “Lebanon Resists” emerges from a civil coalition for relief established in 2006 to counter the effects of Israel's aggression on Lebanon. My name is Joanna Jebaili and I am from the city of Tyre in the South of Lebanon. Lebanon is once again under attack from Israeli aggression. The Israelis have in the last few weeks alone, turned Lebanese people into walking bombs, systematically bombed civilian homes, harassed civilians and now most recently attempting a full fledged invasion. In two weeks, Israel has killed over 2000 people, injured over 10’000 and displaced 1.2 million people. I, along with other members of the Lebanese community in Malta, wish to raise funds for those displaced and honour the lives of our brothers and sisters. This event will include food, music, dance and other life affirming fun to remind all how Lebanese people love life and celebrate their identity. This fundraiser event is intended to focus on providing displaced persons with medication by accepting donated medication which will be facilitated through Medonations who are specialized in storing and shipping donated medication. Funds will also be directed to aid the growing hunger concern and therfore funds will also be going to the Lebanese food bank and to the Lebanese Red cross who are tirelessly working on the ground. The event will accept donations via cash, bank transfer or Revolut. This Lebanese night will take place on Friday 25 October 2024 starting from 1800 onwards at the Maori, Valletta, Malta.

Today, we are reaching out with an urgent plea for help. In Lebanon, thousands of families have been forced to flee their homes due to conflict and instability, leaving behind everything they know and love. Many of these families have found temporary shelter, but they arrive with nothing for their children. They are struggling to survive without the basic essentials every child deserves. Imagine being a mother in this situation, desperately trying to keep your little ones warm and healthy, yet unable to provide even the most basic items like clothing, shoes, feeding supplies, and medications. These families cannot afford to purchase what they need, and they are in dire need of our collective support. Our Mission This winter, we aim to ensure that no child goes without. We are committed to providing: • Warm Clothing and Shoes: Essential for keeping children protected from the cold. • Feeding Supplies: Including formula and baby food to nourish their growing bodies. • Health Essentials: Medications and other vital items to ensure their well-being. Hello, this is Noor, one of the families directly affected by the war on Lebanese soil. I used to live in Beirut, but I had to flee and relocate to a safer spot with my family. But unlike southern families, I had time to pack my belongings and look for an apartment. Being fortunate shouldn't make any of us reluctant to help the unfortunate, so together with my friends, I am working from two centralized locations that serve one as a depot for the goods and another as an operational zone for cold meal preparation. We are collecting, buying, delivering, driving, preparing, cashing, exchanging, sorting and distributing, for 18 hours a day. The food, items, and clothes are being distributed to: - 6 schools in Beirut, with 1050 people in total - 3 buildings in Beirut, with 450 people in total, and - 12 families around other apartments in Beirut By now, you all know what we need: financial support, pantry items, winter clothers, mattresses and blankets, and medicine to help the 1683 individuals who fled their own homes, some with nothing but the clothes they were already wearing. In the midst of it all, I’ve rescued 20 beautiful cats some were abandoned and other were born under my roof they are in desperate need of love and care. Over time, they’ve become more than just rescues—they’ve become my pets a part. I’ve cared for them, watched them heal, and they’ve learned to trust me. The thought of having to put them back on the streets, where they’ve already suffered so much, breaks my heart. I’m asking for your help to rent a safe garden where they can live peacefully and stay together because they became like a pack . These cats are not accustomed to street life, and I don’t want them to face that danger again. They rely on me for food, shelter, and love—but I can’t do this alone.
