Support a Retired HSBC Lebanon Employee
Hello, I am a retired HSBC Lebanon employee with more than 30 years of service, and over 40 years of experience in banking and customer service. Like many retirees, I accepted my retirement arrangement based on the understanding that post-retirement medical insurance would continue until the age of 85. However, since 2024, this coverage has effectively disappeared, leaving me to face rising medical costs during an already devastating economic crisis in Lebanon. Much of my savings remain inaccessible in the banking system, and at my age, it has been extremely difficult to find new employment despite my experience. I have tried to seek clarification and assistance from HSBC, BLOM Bank, and relevant authorities, but unfortunately responsibility has been repeatedly referred from one side to another without a clear solution. Today, I am simply asking for fairness, transparency, and support so that I can meet my essential living and medical needs during this difficult time. I have also attached supporting documents to verify my situation: A letter from the Syndicate of Banks confirming the promise of post-retirement medical coverage. A MetLife insurance letter distributed to all staff before the sale of HSBC to BLOM Bank, confirming the coverage arrangements. These documents show that my claim is legitimate and that I am seeking support based on commitments made decades ago. Any support or understanding would mean a great deal to me and my family. All funds raised will go directly to me to cover my living and medical needs. Thank you for listening. Support displaced families & farmers

Solidarity with Lebanon

Support displaced families & farmers
Over the last few months, the escalation of the war in Lebanon has forced thousands of families from their homes. Many are now living in temporary shelters, schools, or with relatives struggling to meet their most basic need: food. At the same time, small farmers and local food producers are also facing the impact of the crisis, with disrupted markets and falling incomes. Our community believes there is a way to support both. About Dikken el Mazraa Dikken el Mazraa is an experimental solidarity grocery store in Beirut that connects local farmers, producers, and communities through ethical and accessible food systems. Launched in October 2020, Dikken el Mazraa was created to respond to the growing humanitarian needs caused by the economic crisis using our existing community networks to deliver fast, dignified food support to families who need it most. In the current context of war, many humanitarian responses rely on large supply chains that often bypass local producers. Dikken el Mazraa fills this gap by purchasing directly from trusted small-scale farmers and producers across Lebanon and channeling these products to vulnerable communities and social kitchens preparing meals for displaced families . Your donation strengthens local food supply chains and provides direct assistance to those who need it most. About the fundraiser Your contribution will directly fund: • Purchasing food from local farmers • Preparing food baskets for displaced families • Delivering supplies to social kitchens active in the crisis response Every contribution makes a difference. Even small donations help us reach more families.
