Urgent - Please Help Us Survive🙏
Dear Kind Souls, My name is Jean Hatoum. Until a few days ago, my family had a simple life in Debel, a village in south Lebanon near border. Today, everything we had is gone. On February 28, 2026, when the war in Lebanon escalated again, our home was bombed for the second time. We had already rebuilt our house after the war in 2024, believing we could start over. This time, we lost everything again — our home, our belongings, and the life we spent years rebuilding. The bombing also took the life of my father. He died on March 1, 2026. In fear and shock, my mother, my brother David, and I fled our village with nothing but the clothes we were wearing. On the road to Beirut, tragedy struck again. My mother suffered a heart attack. We rushed her to a hospital in Tyre, South Lebanon. By God’s mercy she survived, but we had to continue our journey with nothing. We slept outside, under trees, not knowing where to go, until a kind stranger offered to take us to Beirut. But even the journey was not safe. When we arrived near Haret Hreik in Beirut, another building was bombed close to us, we didn’t know that a warning was sent to that area to be evicted. My brother was injured in the explosion. With the help of the Lebanese Red Cross, we were taken to Abou Jaoude Hospital, in Jal Dib on March 2, 2026. As I write this, we are sitting beside my injured brother in the hospital. We have no home, no belongings, no savings, no stability, and no idea where we will sleep tomorrow. Medical bills are already piling up. My brother needs surgery, medications, and care that we simply cannot afford. We also need a temporary shelter, basic necessities, and medicine for our family. Before this war began, I was already struggling with severe personal and health challenges and had started a fundraiser to try to begin my own treatment, link to my fundraising is: https://fundahope.com/en/campaigns/from-panic-to-collapse-trying-to-survive. Now everything has collapsed on top of us at once. We are not asking for comfort. We are only asking for a chance to survive. We created an urgent fundraiser on Fundahope, the only fundraising platform operating in Lebanon. The amount will help us: • Pay my brother’s urgent surgery and hospital bills • Buy medications, and see doctors. • Find a temporary shelter or small apartment since we are unable to go back home. • Cover basic daily needs while we try to rebuild our lives. This fundraiser will remain open for 10 days only. After that, depending on our situation, we will see if we can extend it. Even $5 or $10 can make a difference for us right now. We know thousands of families are suffering in these difficult days. We are only one family among many. But today, we are standing at the edge of survival, praying that kind hearts will help us stand again. If you cannot donate, please share this message so it can reach someone who might help. You can help, via online donations by clicking on link, or Western Union to Jean Toni Hatoum (Transfer Number should be shared so I can withdraw), Moneygram to Jean Toni Hatoum (Reference Number should be shared so I can withdraw), or Whish Money to Jean Toni Hatoum 0096170169933, or via bank account (it was set up for this fundraising only) to account below: Account Holder Name: JEAN TONI HATOUM ‎IBAN: LB97005699840103500789790002 ‎SWIFT Code: AUDBLBBX ‎Currency: USD Fresh ‎Address: Beirut-Jounieh Coastal Highway Bank Audi bldg., Naccash Dbayeh. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading our story and for keeping my family in your prayers. With all my love, prayers and gratitude, Jean Hatoum

Help Us Launch 'Barely A Dog Rescue'

Help Us Launch 'Barely A Dog Rescue'
i, my name is Vanessa, also known as Girl With The Dogs, and I’m starting Barely A Dog Rescue after years of witnessing a heartbreaking pattern while working as a professional pet groomer. Throughout my career, I’ve seen pets go without basic grooming and veterinary care simply because their owners could not afford it. These were not cases of neglect. These were people who loved their animals deeply but were overwhelmed by the cost of care. In many of those situations, I personally covered grooming or veterinary expenses because I could not stand to see an animal suffer when help was possible. As my platform grew, so did the number of people reaching out from around the world asking for help with veterinary bills, grooming costs, or emergency care for pets they loved. I’ve continued to help wherever I could, quietly and without judgment, but the reality is that I cannot keep doing this alone. The need is simply too great, and the costs have become overwhelming. That is why I decided to build something sustainable. Barely A Dog Rescue will be a foster-based rescue focused on pulling very small dogs under 7 lbs from shelters and placing them into safe, loving foster homes. Many tiny dogs face ongoing medical needs, and with the right support, they can truly thrive. Rescue, however, is only part of the mission. Barely A Dog Rescue will also provide financial relief for veterinary care and grooming costs to pet owners experiencing financial hardship. This assistance will not be limited to small dogs and may support both dogs and cats whose families need help accessing essential care. Too often, loving pet owners are forced into impossible choices. They want to do the right thing for their pets, but rising veterinary and grooming costs make care feel out of reach. Many animals are surrendered not because they are unwanted, but because their people simply cannot afford the help they need. This rescue exists to help keep pets with the people who love them, while also stepping in when rescue and foster care is the safest option. Our approach is rooted in compassion, dignity, and zero judgment. This is about helping animals without shaming the people who care for them. What Your Support Will Help Fund Your donations will help cover the startup and early operating costs of Barely A Dog Rescue, including: • Licensing, insurance, legal, and nonprofit setup costs • Veterinary care for rescued dogs and cats • Foster support and supplies • Emergency medical assistance for dogs and cats in need • Grooming assistance to support health and comfort • Website development Every contribution helps turn years of individual efforts into a structured rescue that can help more animals, more consistently, and more responsibly. Why This Matters Sometimes help means pulling a tiny dog from a shelter into foster care. Sometimes it means helping a family afford a vet visit so they do not have to surrender a beloved pet. Sometimes it simply means showing people that they are not alone. This fundraiser is about transforming compassion into action and building a safety net for pets and the people who love them. Once the charity is fully established in Ontario, the goal is to expand into the United States as well, so we can help even more animals and families. If you are able to donate, thank you from the bottom of my heart. If you cannot donate right now, sharing this fundraiser helps more than you may realize. Together, we can keep pets healthy, supported, and right where they belong. Thank you for believing in Barely A Dog Rescue at the very beginning. Important Information About This Fundraiser This fundraiser is for personal gifts to support Vanessa in her work to establish a future animal rescue charity. At this time, the nonprofit entity is not yet incorporated or registered as a charity in Canada or the United States. As such: • All funds raised through this Fundahope campaign are personal gifts to Vanessa, intended solely to support the startup and administrative costs involved in forming a nonprofit animal rescue. • These funds are not tax-deductible in Canada or the United States. Contributions to this fundraiser should not be considered charitable donations. • Funds raised will be used for early-stage startup expenses such as legal and incorporation fees, administrative setup, supplies, and other preparatory costs required to launch the rescue. • All funds from this campaign are being kept separate from personal spending and are tracked specifically for charity startup purposes. • Once the nonprofit is formally incorporated, all future fundraising will be conducted directly by the legal entity, not through personal fundraising platforms. Thank you for supporting the early groundwork required to build a responsible, transparent, and compliant animal rescue organization.

Cancer Appeal fund
Cancer Appeal fund
I am fundraising to raise money for life saving treatmemt for my nephew, Syed Asadullah Khan who is just 35 years old. Syed Asadullah was unexpectedly diagnosed with Stage 4 NeuroEndocrine termimal cancer. We found out it was cancer in May 2025, when it was officially diagnosed as Neuroendocrine tumour on the day of Eid ul fitr in June 2025. A neuroendocrine tumour or cancer, is a mass or a rare tumour that can develop in many different organs of the body. It affects the cells and requires specialist treatment, chemotherapy. It is extremely painful. Sadly following various scans, we were told that the cancer had actually grown. Syed Asadullah is married with 3 young children, the eldest being just 6 years old. In the last few years, he has been admitted numerous times at Nottingham City Hospital, for Cancer treatment chemotherapy and during really difficult times, admitted in hospital for his tumour pain management. Syed Asadullah initially had 6 cycles of intravenous chemotherapy, then had this in injection form 2/3 times which wasn’t doing anything so they changed this to strong chemotherapy in tablet form. After a year of various hospital admissions, tests and home treatment by the district nurse administering powerful Morphine injections, Syed Asadullah is now having intravenous chemotherapy again. Syed Asadullah has had 2 radiotherapy treatments in between. He went to the Royal free hospital in London for a scan to see if they could offer this new form of treatment called PRRT- Peptide Receptor Radionuclide Therapy. They have done tests on neuroendocrine tumours that originate from the kidneys and GI tract so funding may be possible for those people, but, Syed Asadullahs condition originates from the thymus and they haven’t done trials to test that so funding is not available on the NHS. We have been told it is 4 treatments of PRRT, each costing between approximately £20,000 each. We want to raise funds for this PRRT treatment, although we cannot do this without sufficient funds being raised. In order to access treatment not available on the NHS, we are looking to raise over £80,000 for specalist treatment in London. Seeing Syed Asadullah suffer is both heart breaking and unbareable to see how much he suffers. The tumours in his upper chest and shoulder can be seen as large bulges when you see him, this is distressing in itself. Syed Asadullah has always been a warm, kind, gentle and somewhat shy and modest man, always humble and puts others first ahead of himself. This is obviously devastating and we want to do everything we can to keep him here with us. Please Donate now, thank you so. Much, God bless you and your families.
