Providing Trauma Therapy for People in Lebanon
While humanitarian efforts focus on food, shelter, and basic needs, mental health support remains critically unaddressed, despite being essential for true, long-term recovery.
Let's take a moment to put ourselves in their place.
They left their homes not knowing if they will ever see them again. They fled without the chance to gather their belongings, their memories, their lives. Some escaped while violence unfolded around them. Others lost multiple family members in a single moment.
And now, they are expected to rebuild from nothing, in the middle of an ongoing financial crisis.
These humans need psychological support, and they need it now!
But without your help, our ability to reach them remains limited.
Through this campaign, we aim to begin by supporting 200 individuals through a team of 10 therapists, with each therapist caring for approximately 20 people. As funding grows, we will expand our team to reach even more people in need.
As an association, we significantly reduce the cost of therapy. While sessions typically range between $50–$100, we offer:
- 1:1 therapy sessions at $20–$30 per session
- Group therapy sessions at $5 per person
Therapists are partially compensated. Many contribute with a deep sense of purpose, accepting symbolic compensation that honors their time while allowing them to continue this essential work.
Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a real difference. It directly funds therapy sessions, supports therapists, and allows us to reach more people who would otherwise be left to face their trauma alone.
