We are launching this fundraising campaign at one of the most critical moments for our country and region, as Lebanon faces an unprecedented crisis. Extensive relief efforts are urgently needed. As of October 4, 2024, more than 150 health workers were killed, 15 hospitals attacked and 70 primary health care centers and emergency medical services damaged, resulting in 6 hospitals being completely out of service. Our current focus is on gathering donations to provide vital health care support to facilities and medical personnel across Lebanon, ensuring they can continue delivering essential health services. Every contribution helps us reach more people and meet the growing needs. “Lebanon Resists” emerges from a civil coalition for relief established in 2006 to counter the effects of Israel's aggression on Lebanon. My name is Joanna Jebaili and I am from the city of Tyre in the South of Lebanon. Lebanon is once again under attack from Israeli aggression. The Israelis have in the last few weeks alone, turned Lebanese people into walking bombs, systematically bombed civilian homes, harassed civilians and now most recently attempting a full fledged invasion. In two weeks, Israel has killed over 2000 people, injured over 10’000 and displaced 1.2 million people. I, along with other members of the Lebanese community in Malta, wish to raise funds for those displaced and honour the lives of our brothers and sisters. This event will include food, music, dance and other life affirming fun to remind all how Lebanese people love life and celebrate their identity. This fundraiser event is intended to focus on providing displaced persons with medication by accepting donated medication which will be facilitated through Medonations who are specialized in storing and shipping donated medication. Funds will also be directed to aid the growing hunger concern and therfore funds will also be going to the Lebanese food bank and to the Lebanese Red cross who are tirelessly working on the ground. The event will accept donations via cash, bank transfer or Revolut. This Lebanese night will take place on Friday 25 October 2024 starting from 1800 onwards at the Maori, Valletta, Malta.

Today, we are reaching out with an urgent plea for help. In Lebanon, thousands of families have been forced to flee their homes due to conflict and instability, leaving behind everything they know and love. Many of these families have found temporary shelter, but they arrive with nothing for their children. They are struggling to survive without the basic essentials every child deserves. Imagine being a mother in this situation, desperately trying to keep your little ones warm and healthy, yet unable to provide even the most basic items like clothing, shoes, feeding supplies, and medications. These families cannot afford to purchase what they need, and they are in dire need of our collective support. Our Mission This winter, we aim to ensure that no child goes without. We are committed to providing: • Warm Clothing and Shoes: Essential for keeping children protected from the cold. • Feeding Supplies: Including formula and baby food to nourish their growing bodies. • Health Essentials: Medications and other vital items to ensure their well-being. My name is sereen Ragheb Abukrayyem. I am 42 years old and a mother of a beautiful child. Leliaa (3years old). ❤️ she is my whole life, light and soul. My child is my fight and what keep me going. Anybody who knows me, knows that I am a very reserved, and private person. I have always been independent and I am used to doing everything on my own for me and my child. So, please understand that it is hard for me to put my personal business out there today and to finally ask for help. My story started in September 13th 2023 when I left my husband and traveled to Gaza with my child to visit my parents and we have never been able to return until now. In the last year we are just trying to survive and battling to be alive till this moment, trying to convince my daughter that we will return to her father and reunion one day. Unfortunately, it doesn’t end there..on january 5th my parents lost there home and we moved to live in a tent with my parents who are suffering from old age and many illness, After a month, we no longer had any money. We could not even buy food or medicine, at that time my parents and i had no sources of income for 9 months and I felt that we were on the verge of death. We had lost all our dreams and memories. We are here killing and being destroyed, and we see that death is very close. I see all of this and I also think about my daughter’s health condition, who needs surgery due to an umbilical hernia. Therefore, we need to be evacuated from here. With my daughter and parents, we may be in a safe place with good living conditions. Recently, my father suffered from a stroke and could no longer move easily. He needs physical therapy and medicines that we can no longer provide. I am here today for asking your help to can survive with my child and parents and take them to Evacuate from this war and reach my husband in Egypt so he can meet his child and embrace her again. I understand we all go through hard times so anything helps.. Whether it be your love & support, a donation, sharing my story, or sending love, prayers, positive & healing vibes. Hello, this is Noor, one of the families directly affected by the war on Lebanese soil. I used to live in Beirut, but I had to flee and relocate to a safer spot with my family. But unlike southern families, I had time to pack my belongings and look for an apartment. Being fortunate shouldn't make any of us reluctant to help the unfortunate, so together with my friends, I am working from two centralized locations that serve one as a depot for the goods and another as an operational zone for cold meal preparation. We are collecting, buying, delivering, driving, preparing, cashing, exchanging, sorting and distributing, for 18 hours a day. The food, items, and clothes are being distributed to: - 6 schools in Beirut, with 1050 people in total - 3 buildings in Beirut, with 450 people in total, and - 12 families around other apartments in Beirut By now, you all know what we need: financial support, pantry items, winter clothers, mattresses and blankets, and medicine to help the 1683 individuals who fled their own homes, some with nothing but the clothes they were already wearing.
