The St Charbel center, Sister Marie Abel Foundation was created in 1990 by a committee of friends and managed by the Sisters of St Cœurs, according to the most ardent wish of Sister Marie Abel Qamari whose miracle of her healing was retained as proof of legitimacy by the Vatican for the beatification of St Charbel. Our Mission is to welcome children from 4 to 15 years old, orphans, from disadvantaged families, with serious social problems, with the aim of ensuring them moral and physical security, regular schooling, and accommodation adapted to their needs. The children are cared for by social workers who will allow them to grow and flourish in a healthy, family environment.

Our Story Shamaluna (translates as ‘our North’), is an independent socio-political movement, formed by citizens from Zgharta, Bcharre, Koura and Batroun in search for a better future. “A safer and healthier Lebanon for us and future generations”. While placing the public interest as a basic principle for practicing politics, away from sectarian frameworks and on the basis of equality and social justice, Shamaluna works towards building bottom-up processes in which local communities are mobilized to achieve their social, economic and political rights. In times of Democracy Fatigue, Shamaluna provides a horizontal platform for collective work and decision making: For the first time in Lebanon, Shamaluna is introducing the Primary Election concept, by which the people are provided with the opportunity to choose the candidates that represent them in the upcoming parliamentary elections 2022. Why Support Us While Shamaluna is a volunteer-led initiative, our establishment is expanding as the parliamentary election approaches, which requires that the team fully dedicates itself to the political campaign in order to make this experience a successful one. Being financially unrestricted guarantees our sovereignty, therefore we only accept unconditional grants. We count on the financial support of caring individuals like ourselves, with clear and open agendas. People who believe that this leading project is laying the groundwork for a more prosperous future, further away from corruption and nepotism. Hoping that this initiative will be the first of many to come. من نحن؟ "شمالنا" حركة سياسية واجتماعية مستقلة، اسّسها نساء ورجال من اربع اقضية في شمال لبنان: بشري، الكورة، زغرتا والبترون، بهدف بناء مستقبل آمن ومزدهر لنا وللأجيال القادمة. بعيدا عن الأطر التقليدية والطائفية، تعمل شمالنا على وضع المصلحة العامة كمبدأ أساسي لممارسة السياسية، وتطرح نهج سياسي جديد مبني على العدالة الاجتماعية، تشارك فيه جميع فئات المجتمع في اتخاذ القرارات الضامنة لحقوقها الاجتماعية، الاقتصادية والسياسية. في خضمّ الخيبة الديمقراطية التي يعيشها اللبنانيون، تطرح "شمالنا" آلية أفقية للعمل التشاركي واتخاذ القرارات: للمرة الأولى في لبنان، تُقام انتخابات تمهيدية يُتاح فيها للمواطنين أن يختاروا المرشحين الذين سوف يمثلونهم في الانتخابات النيابية للعام ٢٠٢٢. لماذا نحتاج دعمكم؟ بالرغم من كونها مبادرة تطوعية، إلا أن مسؤوليات "شمالنا" تزداد مع اقتراب موعد الانتخابات النيابية، مما يوجب على فريق العمل الالتزام التام من أجل تحقيق الحملة الانتخابية. استقلاليتنا المادية تضمن سيادتنا، لذلك فإننا نقبل فقط الهبات والمنح الغير مشروطة، ونعتمد على الدعم المادي من أفراد يشاركوننا رؤيتنا، ويؤمنون مثلنا أن هذا الطرح الجديد يمكن أن يشكل حجر أساس لبناء وطن بعيدا عن المحسوبيات والفساد. آملين أن تكون هذه المبادرة مقدمة لمبادرات أخرى على مستوى الوطن.

Palliative Care Despite Difficulties
Balsam – The Lebanese Center for Palliative Care – is a nongovernmental organization founded in 2010. Through patient care, Balsam aims to relieve suffering and improve the quality of life of people living with serious illness. We believe that no one should live in pain, fear or die alone. Composed of a team of multidisciplinary healthcare professionals, Balsam offers management of physical symptoms, as well as psychosocial and spiritual support to both the patient and their family. Since the end of 2019, with the outbreak of COVID 19, the deteriorating economic and financial situation throughout Lebanon and the August 4 explosion, sustaining work at Balsam has been quite a challenge. However, despite these difficulties, Balsam’s team demonstrated the utmost commitment and dedication. Nothing deterred us from tending to our patients’ needs – whether road closures, street violence, the pandemic, the financial meltdown, the fuel and gas crises – nothing stopped the Balsam team from caring for their patients, and their families, and helping them to improve their quality of life for as long as needed. Your contribution will support our campaign to help those suffering, suffer less, and will help us continue to provide free of charge patient care to as many patients as possible all over Lebanon.

CARE for Special Needs
CARE is a Lebanese NGO which started in 2010 as a group of volunteers working with children and young adults with special needs. Our vision is: The right for each child and adult with special needs to access education and employment with a mission to help teenagers and young adults achieve their utmost potential to become responsible, contributing and independent citizens regardless of their individual abilities through social and professional integration. What we do? Responding to the lack of specialized services, CARE was established with the aim to empower students through specialized education and engaging them in recreational activities to help improve their psychological well-being, in addition to supporting their livelihood opportunities. To reach the ultimate aim of CARE mission, our programs work in an integrated approach providing specialized services and activities according to our targets’ needs. Subsequently, programs are divided across the following sectors: 1- EducationalProgram:CARE educational activities focus on functional academics skills that follows a special Australian Curriculum as well as a vocationallife skills program designed by CARE. 2. Psychological Support Services (PSS):Psychological Support Service (PSS) is an important element of the integrated approach CARE is providing for our students. 3- Livelihood Program:CARE’s livelihoods activities focus on providing trainings on market skills, social and life skills, emotional learning and analytical skills. 4-Awareness and Advocacy Program:CARE raised awareness in different communities for the rights of those with special needs to access education and employment, through integrating them with community engagements activities.CARE had worked with different private schools( name 2 schools) as consultants for integrating children with special needs in the formal education system. Donors and donations: To be able to keep giving and helping the most vulnerable students, CARE depends on events such as our annual gala dinners, Iftars, and brunches. We also receive donations and small grants from different sources and philanthropists. Embrace was on ground from the first day of the explosion, supporting all those who were affected with the capacity of its members, volunteers, and services, as well as, launched the Embrace Mental Health Center within one month of August 4. This center provided direct and quality mental health care to individuals & along with the Lifeline 1564 and numerous awareness sessions, we were able to reach more than 9,500 individuals. Today, more than any day, we need the support of all people who believe that mental health is an essential gateway to wellbeing, and that every person deserves a life with less pain, fear, and anger with more light and hope. Keeping our rescue shelter dogs alive
Refq is a registered non profit organization that helps animals at risk in North Lebanon. Abused, in accidents, dumped, or even shot, there are so many animals that need a second chance at a better life. We created a dog shelter in 2018 to host some of the cases that require the most help, some found great homes and some haven't. Refq can only survive from donations. Our work is 100% volunteer work and every single cent goes directly to support medical bills or food for the animals.

The Third Voice for Lebanon
The Third Voice for Lebanon
The Third Voice for Lebanon in partnership with Street and Independent Engineers and Architects (IEA), are working on a developmental neighborhood project which is called مشروع حي (Project Neighborhood and dually translated to Project Living in english). The Harvest Box, our other initiative continues to bear fruit and ripen! In partnership with Street and Lebanese Food bank, we have taken the campaign national! Not only by providing small to medium scale farmers with plants during this economic crisis, but in addition the farmers themselves are continuing the cycle of social responsibility and providing a portion of their yields to underprivledged families in need of assistance! Our initiatives confronts the crisis and the ineptness of the ruling class, as they are grassroots developmental/interactive/social projects that focus on neighborhoods and the individuals through enhancing and beautifying the spaces they closely interact with, while raising awareness about sustainability and safety through workshops. By doing so, we hope to be building a culture of responsible citizenship for the young generations living in the benefiting neighbourhoods. Mashrou' Hay also aims to establish communal and roof gardens  (urban agriculture) to further introduce independence, rain water retention, well being of the inhabitants, and several other sub advantages. As neighbors and their children interact and collaborate throughout neighborhoods, they in turn  build relationships with each other and public places further benefiting from them culturally and societally. Our aim is to strengthen the culture of the individual and social responsibility which in return will positively impact towards a healthier society.
