Step Towards a Brighter Future
# 🌿 Step Towards a Brighter Future: Appeal for Financial Support for Pramila & Sithara’s Aloe Vera Cultivation Project 🌿 Dear Kind-hearted Friends, Well-wishers, and Donors, We are Pramila Sangeeth and Sithara Maduwanthi, a young couple living in Mahavilachchiya—a remote and underdeveloped village in the North Central Province of Sri Lanka. Despite facing severe financial hardships from childhood, both of us worked tirelessly and successfully passed the highly competitive G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination in the Biological Science stream on our very first attempt. However, we fell short by just a few marks from qualifying for a state university degree program. Due to the prevailing economic crisis in Sri Lanka and our families' extreme poverty, pursuing higher education again or enrolling in private institutions became a dream out of our reach. --- ### 💔 Our Story: The Struggles We Carry * Abandonment & Debt-Ridden Household (Pramila’s Story): When I was a young child, my father abandoned my mother and me to start another family. My mother, a schoolteacher with 21 years of service, raised me single-handedly through immense hardship. To build a small shelter for us, she took a bank loan—the repayments of which consume almost her entire salary, leaving us with barely enough to survive. * A Father Ill for 22 Years & A Mother Working Abroad (Sithara’s Story): Sithara’s father, Mr. Lalith Asoka Jayaweera, has been suffering from severe diabetes for 22 years. To feed the family, he works as a cook in a local hotel under painful conditions. Because of his condition, even minor cuts from preparing food take months to heal, yet he works through the pain not by physical strength, but through sheer willpower. His entire income goes toward his monthly insulin and medical treatments. Her mother has been working as a domestic helper abroad for over 10 years, bearing immense distress to support the family. > Our Sole Goal: Our parents have sacrificed their entire lives and happiness for us. Our greatest ambition in life is to lift them out of this poverty, relieve their suffering, and give them a peaceful, healthy, and dignified life. --- ### 🌱 Our Project Plan: Commercial Aloe Vera Farming Instead of becoming a burden to society, we have decided to stand on our own feet. We plan to establish a commercial Aloe Vera farm on our 2.30-acre ancestral land. However, to start this venture and make it sustainable, we urgently need financial assistance to set up the necessary basic infrastructure: #### 📊 Breakdown of Required Funding (Estimated Budget): 1. Erection of an Electric Elephant Fence (Primary Need): Living in Mahavilachchiya, human-elephant conflict is our biggest threat. Installing a solar/electric fence around the land is essential to protect the crop from wild elephants. * Required Amount: USD $750 2. Tube Well / Water Supply System: Aloe Vera requires reliable irrigation. Currently, there is no water source on the land, so drilling a tube well is mandatory. * Required Amount: USD $1000 3. Land Preparation, Plants, and Fertilizers: Clearing and preparing the land using machinery, purchasing high-yield tissue-cultured Aloe Vera saplings, shade nets, and organic fertilizers/treatments. * Required Amount: USD $1000 --- ### 💵 Total Funding Required: USD $2,750 (Approximate) Any contribution you can make—big or small—will bring us one step closer to changing our lives and securing a sustainable livelihood for our families. #### 🏦 Bank Account Details for Donations: [7/25/2026 1:28 PM] Sithara 296266: * Account Holder's Name: [Pramila Sangeeth] * Bank Name: [Bank Name - [ People's Bank] * Account Number: [051200180078845] * Branch: [kahatagasdigiliya] #### 📞 Contact Information: * Phone / WhatsApp: [0760515978/0742257501] * Email: [pramilakarunarathna2500@gmail.com/sitharajayaweera2500@gmail.com] * Address: Mekichchawa,Morakewa > *"Your kind support today can plant the seed for a self-sufficient tomorrow. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to read our story and for your generosity!"* 🙏🌸

A Second Chance to Rebuild Through Food Innovation

A Second Chance to Rebuild Through Food Innovation
A Second Chance to Rebuild Through Food Innovation Hello, Writing these words is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. There was a time when I believed that hard work alone would be enough to build a secure future. I dedicated myself to creating a livelihood through food production, investing my time, energy, and every resource I had into building something meaningful. Unfortunately, life did not unfold as I had hoped. A series of business and financial setbacks gradually took away everything I had worked so hard to build. I lost my income, my business, and the financial stability that once allowed me to move forward with confidence. Today, I find myself starting over with almost nothing except my experience, my determination, and the hope that life can still offer a second chance. Despite everything I have lost, I refuse to give up. My dream is to rebuild my life by establishing a small business producing mushroom-based products and value-added agricultural foods. I believe that locally available agricultural resources can be transformed into nutritious, high-quality food products that create value, reduce waste, and provide sustainable income. This dream is not built on hope alone. Over the years, I have gained practical experience producing mushroom and jackfruit-based food products. I have worked with food dehydration, preservation methods, and value-added processing. I have personally developed products, introduced them to customers, listened to their feedback, and built relationships with people who returned because they trusted the quality of my work. These experiences have given me confidence that I can succeed again—if I am given the opportunity. Today, however, I simply do not have the financial means to begin again on my own. The USD $5,000 I hope to raise through this campaign will allow me to purchase essential production equipment, raw materials, packaging supplies, food safety requirements, licenses, and other necessities needed to restart this small business. I am not asking anyone to build my future for me. I am only asking for the opportunity to build it myself. Every contribution, whether large or small, represents far more than financial assistance. It tells me that someone, somewhere, believes I deserve another opportunity to stand on my own feet. That belief gives strength during moments when it is easy to lose hope. If I am fortunate enough to rebuild my life through your kindness, I promise to honor every dollar entrusted to me by working with honesty, discipline, and gratitude. My goal has never been simply to earn an income. I want to create something meaningful that one day allows me to employ others, support local agriculture, and give hope to people facing hardships similar to mine. I know there are many people in the world who need help, and I never imagined I would become one of them. Yet today, I humbly ask you to believe in me. Your generosity will not only help restart a small business—it will help restore dignity, independence, and hope to someone determined to work hard for a better future. If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign with your family, friends, or community would mean more than you know. From the depths of my heart, thank you for taking the time to read my story. Thank you for your kindness. Thank you for believing that every person deserves a second chance. One day, I hope to look back on this moment not as the end of my story—but as the beginning of a new one, made possible by the compassion of people like you. With deepest gratitude, Kasun

Support a cancer survivor in starting up a career
Grace’s Story: A Journey of Resilience, Art, and Hope She is a talented topographer and interior designer with a heart full of creativity and a story shaped by strength and perseverance. After overcoming cancer and becoming a survivor, she continued to fight for her dreams and rebuild her life with courage. With her background in topography, she was determined to return to her profession and create a stable future. However, after developing a recent sun allergy, working outdoors became extremely difficult, limiting her ability to pursue opportunities in topography. Instead of giving up, she turned toward her passion for interior design and art — a field where she can use her creativity, skills, and imagination. She has always been an artist, with a natural talent for creating beautiful spaces and designs. But one major obstacle stands in her way: she does not own a suitable laptop to learn, design, create 3D projects, and start building her career in interior design. She dreams of opening her own small studio, a place where she can combine her knowledge of topography, interior design, and art to create meaningful projects. She wants to become financially independent and prove that challenges do not have to define a person’s future. Today, she is asking for support to help her get a professional laptop that will allow her to work, develop her skills, and take the first step toward opening her own studio. This opportunity would not only provide her with a tool for work — it would give her a chance to rebuild her career, gain stability, and continue transforming her creativity into something valuable. Behind every design she creates is a story of survival, determination, and hope. She is not asking for a handout; she is asking for a chance to work, grow, and build the future she has been fighting for.
