Teach a Child with Special Needs
The Special Education Department at Adduha High School caters for children with communication disorders needs. The aim of the department was to provide its student with an integration setting, allowing them to benefit from the regular classrooms' setting and school activities, while also receiving the therapies and support they need. Due to the ongoing crisis in Lebanon, the regular classes at Adduha High School will be suspended for the academic year 2021-2022. Nevertheless, we are working hard to keep the special education department functioning in order to provide our students, and any student with special needs with the services they need and deserve. Our Special Education Department aims to be able to offer children with special needs with a welcoming non-judgmental environment where they benefit from Individualized Educational Plans, Speech and Language Therapy as well as Psychomotor Therapy. Some of the students joined our special education department 11 years ago when they were 3 years old; we've been tailoring their educational programs and adjusting them to their needs and potential throughout the past years. These students will have a very tough transition if they were to move to a different institution, or would have to stay at home for the coming academic year. By keeping our Special Education Department open, we will be able to continue providing them with their educational and therapeutic needs.

Dear all, I am calling the whole world to help save the educational ecosystem in Lebanon and to provide Free Education to every child, in any ways possible. If each one of us donates $10 we will surely make a positive impact. Education in Lebanon is in devastating situation with a financial crisis, worsened by Beirut explosion, poverty, shortage of paper and ink, teachers immigration, and schools can't operate without fuel. More than 1.2 million children in Lebanon have been out of school. With no end to the crisis in sight, many families and schools have no idea how they'll manage come next term. THE INITIATIVE We're reaching out to friends, families and all fundraising associations to help save the educational ecosystem in Lebanon, in any ways possible, driven by our responsibility towards our youth and the coming generations to achieve the necessary social and economic standards that they deserve to live within. To accomplish the above, our plan will tackle several areas in the educational sector. All donations will be processed and distributed digitally to overlook, manage, assess and channel all funds and donations, in an automated workflow allowing the donors to track the progress of every donation, task, program, or campaign. This will also help us to preserve our core VALUES around TRANSPARENCY and TRUST, making sure the donation will directly reach the needy. I took the initiative out of my frustration of the level the educational sector is reaching without any personal gain. The project itself has several steps as per the below: - Campaign 1: Offering our Digital Educational Solution for free to Schools, Teachers and Students, - Campaign 2: Benefiting from Supermarkets’ Reward Points to pay Students’ Tuitions - Campaign 3: Sponsoring Private Tutoring Sessions to Students for free - Campaign 4: Offering Learning Equipments to Students and Teachers for free Please take a moment to read it for the sake of providing a better future to our kids, hence a generation who can maintain our Lebanese identity. FIRST MILESTONE We will start with a first milestone of $6000 to cover the expenses of providing our Digital Educational Solution (refer to Campaign 1) to one school of 500 students. Once we reach this milestone, we will set another one and increase our reach. Everything will be audited and reports will be shared publicly with full transparency. TIME TO ACT No amount is small. $1 (or its equivalent in other currencies) can really make a difference. You can do it quietly, or you can share our story to help us reach out to as many people as possible. We appreciate that it has been a rough period for most and would be extremely grateful if you could help. We have always been known as the hackers of intelligence and bright minds. We left a mark in so many areas and geographies because we are the product of a rich history and diverse civilizations as well as survivors of conflicts. But now we are losing it, we are losing it all. TIME TO ACT & NOT TO WATCH OR COMPLAIN Donate . Support .
