Help Families Stay Healthy After War in Lebanon
Despite the fragile ceasefire, the crisis is not over.
Across South Lebanon, many villages have been left devastated. Homes are damaged or destroyed. Basic services are disrupted. Families who hoped to return are now facing the painful reality that going home may not yet be possible.
Many remain in shelters or with host communities that have already carried a heavy burden for months. During the war, so many people stood with displaced families. Volunteers, healthcare workers, local organizations, communities, and donors helped protect lives when the need was urgent.
We are deeply grateful for that support.
But today, the need remains high. At the Primary Health Care Center – Coastal Chouf Area (PHC-CCA), we continue to provide affordable and accessible healthcare to displaced families and the communities hosting them.
Operating under the supervision of the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health and in partnership with the American University of Beirut, PHC-CCA has become a place where vulnerable families can seek care without fear of being turned away. Right now, people need to stay healthy as they prepare to face the difficult reality awaiting them
in their villages.
A child who missed vaccines cannot wait. A patient with diabetes or hypertension cannot stop treatment.
A cancer diagnosis cannot be delayed. A mother carrying fear, grief, and exhaustion needs care too.
With the support of our partners and donors, PHC-CCA has already served more than 1,200 patients, distributed over 4,000 medications, performed more than 1,000 laboratory tests, supported children through screenings and vaccinations, and helped detect more than five
cancer cases at an early stage. Behind every number is a person trying to survive, heal, and begin again.
Your donation helps us continue this work. It helps provide medical consultations, essential medications, laboratory testing, vaccinations, chronic disease care, cancer screening, and mental health support for people affected by war, displacement, and uncertainty.
This is not only healthcare.
It is dignity for an elderly patient who cannot afford medicine. It is protection for a child who has missed routine care. It is hope for a family preparing to return to a damaged home. It is reassurance that, in one of the hardest moments of their lives, they are not alone.
