Support a Single Mother in Mount Lebanon
I am raising funds for a single mother living in Lebanon. She is at a point where she can no longer manage everything on her own and needs our help.
She left an abusive marriage to protect herself and her child. Since then, she's been raising her child entirely on her own. There is no support from her ex-husband, and she doesn't have a family she can turn to. Everything falls on her.
She does have a job, but her income barely covers basic necessities. With the cost of living continuing to rise, she has been trying to stretch everything as much as she can, but she's reached a breaking point:
-Her rent is overdue by 4 months, and is at risk of being evicted
-She had to take food on credit from the local grocery shop, and the debt has piled up
-She is behind on her child’s school tuition, and there’s a risk her child could be asked to leave
At this point, she urgently needs support not only to cover ongoing expenses, but also to settle her debts and prevent further instability.
Your contribution will help her cover:
-Overdue rent and prevent eviction (monthly rent: $400/ $1,600 overdue)
-Groceries and repayment of existing food debt ($100 per week / $800 overdue)
-School tuition and transportation for her child ($3,000 overdue)
-Emergency expenses as they arise
