Assistance needed for buildings a secure shelter
My name is **R.W.G. Madhushala Kumari Samaranayake**. I am currently a mother of three children, living in a difficult situation. This letter is written with the intention of requesting your kind consideration to obtain a stable and safe housing facility for me and my children. Currently, I and my children are living in a rented house. The rent of that house is a huge burden compared to my current income, and it has even become a hindrance to the educational and food needs of my children. My household economy has become very difficult, and please be aware that there is a risk of leaving the house due to constant inability to pay the rent. My past life has been full of challenges and moments. Without the support of my children's father, I am trying to secure their future and education on my own, without falling behind in the pressure of women and economic difficulties. But among all those efforts, homelessness and instability of the house are the biggest obstacles for me. I am currently living a very practical life to continue the education of my three children. The eldest of them is preparing for the scholarship exam, and the other two are also school-going. A relevant environment is very necessary to maintain the continuity of their education. But due to the instability of the current rented house, they have to change schools and change their residence frequently, which has a serious impact on their educational and psychological status. Among all these things, the biggest dream of my life was — **to get a stable house for me and my children**. But right now, it has been difficult to meet my income and savings to buy that house. For me, who is in a situation where it is difficult to even pay the rent, meeting the amount needed to buy a house is not a reality. But I have a very dear house — this rented house where I have been living with my children for several years. It seems to me like a house where the laughter of children, the dreams of dark nights, and our tears come together. Therefore, making that house completely my own is one of the biggest goals in my life. But it is true that it is currently being sold and that I cannot buy it due to my financial situation. Therefore, considering my low income and family situation, I kindly request you to provide me with the necessary support to purchase that house or to obtain another permanent home under the housing development programs or relief projects provided for essential families. I wish to live with my children without being a burden to anyone and with dignity. If I receive relief and support, it will not only build my children's future but also build it. I believe — providing a safe home to children is what brings the future of the country. Thank you very much for your kind spirit and attention. Please consider my application, and I sincerely believe that you will continue to support me and my children in a way that will provide stability in life. **Your kind response will change our future.** With love to you, **R.W.G. Madushala Kumari Samaranayake** (Mother of three)

Help us build home quickly
Dear Sir / Madam, My name is Shashikala, and I am a 24-year-old woman living in Sri Lanka. I am writing to you with deep sadness and sincere hope, seeking humanitarian support for myself and my family, who are currently going through an extremely difficult time. I lost my mother due to a tragic incident, and since then, our lives have become unbearable. My father is permanently disabled — he has lost both of his hands and is unable to work or care for himself. I also have a younger brother and a younger sister, but my sister is suffering from a serious mental illness and needs medical attention and constant care. We are currently living in a temporary shelter with no stable income, no government assistance, and no relatives who can support us. I am the only one trying to take care of my family, and I am struggling every day to manage even our basic needs — food, medicine, and a safe place to live. With great humility, I am requesting any support you can offer: Help in building or finding a permanent shelter Financial support for daily needs and medical expenses Assistance for my father as a disabled person Medical help for my mentally ill sister Any other form of humanitarian aid, guidance, or referral to relevant organizations I am not asking for anything beyond the basics needed to live with safety and dignity. Your support, however small, would mean everything to us and give us hope for a better future. Thank you very much for taking the time to read my letter. Please consider our request, and if you are able to help in any way — directly or by referring us to someone who can — we would be forever grateful. Sincerely, Shashikala Sri Lanka Phone / WhatsApp 0722000005 Email: lakshikal246@gmail.com

Hot meals 4 Starved Palestinian Kids in north Gaza
My name is Hani Almadhoun, and my family and friends live in the North of Gaza, Palestine. Most aid is being blocked at the border, and there isn’t nearly enough to fight back the famine or save my loved ones. So we decided to do something about it. My brother, Mahmoud Almadhoun, and his friends volunteered to start a soup kitchen in Bait Lahia, to provide hot meals to friends and neighbors. They bought four large pots, purchased wood for the fire, and risked their lives to dig up potatoes. They also purchased tomato paste and cooking oil, and three hours later, 120 families had food for the day. The next day 150 starved families ate from the kitchen. Word spread rapidly, and the next day, even more neighbors arrived. Mahmoud sprang into action, venturing out to procure ingredients for a fresh meal. He returned with leafy greens, onions, and mushrooms, crafting a new dish that was as delightful as it was nourishing. The kitchen's capacity has now expanded to accommodate meals for up to 3000 people daily, and the numbers continue to grow. For many, this was their first substantial meal in days, and the departure from canned food was a welcomed change that filled hearts with gratitude. You may wonder why these individuals can accomplish something that few have managed to do in the heart of starvation in Gaza. That would be a fair question. First, Bait Lahia has some farms where veggies and wild greens are now in season. We made sure they had the money to purchase these hard-to-find items. Additionally, they are located in the heart of the market, so they can easily spot any of these veggies and cooking essentials arriving at the market. They have also visited farms close to the Green Line to find veggies and have been lucky a few times. Once, they purchased overgrown zucchinis that should have been picked weeks ago. Mom and my sisters lovingly wake up early to peel and prep the food for the day's meals. Your assistance can help us bring sustenance to an area with minimal aid, where children face the harsh reality of starvation. This personal initiative, coordinated with our family in North Gaza, ensures transparency. Your contribution, starting at five dollars, can provide a hot meal to desperate families enduring challenging conditions, intentionally isolated from the rest of the world. Your $5, 0000 will go a long way with this initiative. We also need you to pray for their safety as they do this heroic work. The funds from GoFundMe will be transferred to this crew in Gaza to make sure they still do this work.
