A Regenerative Eco-Tourism Hub in Lebanon
The Breeze Spring – A Regenerative Eco-Tourism Hub in Lebanon
1. Project Summary
The Breeze Spring is a regenerative eco-tourism initiative located on a 3.5-acre olive and carob grove in Batroun, Lebanon. Our mission is to create a sanctuary where people can reconnect with nature, learn sustainable living practices, and find healing.
Since 2015, we've operated with a deep passion for the land. We have successfully produced and sold olive oil and carob molasses and hosted guided hikes, proving the viability and demand for our model. Thanks to a recent grant from Bloom, construction has begun on a 20m² multi-purpose shelter.
We are now seeking a total of $30,000 in funding to complete this phase of development, which will transform The Breeze Spring into a fully functional and sustainable retreat center.
2. The Challenge: Disconnection and Unsustainable Tourism
Lebanon is facing a crisis of disconnection. Mass tourism often exploits natural resources, local farmers are leaving their land, and many people are "burning out," disconnected from the healing power of nature. There is a deep hunger for authentic, low-impact experiences that offer a different way of living.
3. Our Solution: A Regenerative Sanctuary
The Breeze Spring is our answer. We are building a living example of how Lebanon can grow sustainably, heal, and inspire a new generation. Our project focuses on:
Regenerative Eco-tourism: Offering healthy, low-impact experiences that respect and restore the land.
Sustainable Agriculture: Preserving local traditions and biodiversity by continuing to produce our signature olive oil and carob molasses.
Community Empowerment: Creating local jobs and a model for other small-scale farmers and entrepreneurs.
Nature Healing: Providing a sanctuary for visitors to practice yoga, breathwork, and find balance.
4. Funding Request & Use of Funds
We are requesting $30,000 to complete our infrastructure and expand our capacity to host visitors and retreats. These funds will be allocated as follows:
$10,000: Eco-kitchen and solar cold storage: To prepare and serve fresh, farm-to-table meals and safely store our harvested produce.
$6,000: Eco-toilet and greywater system: To install safe, eco-friendly facilities that respect the land and conserve water.
$8,000: Yoga and gathering deck: To create a dedicated space for wellness practices and community gatherings.
$6,000: Off-grid solar system: To power the entire site sustainably and reduce our environmental footprint.
5. Impact & Sustainability
Your contribution will allow us to scale our operations, host more visitors, and deepen our impact on the land and community. This investment will not only complete our physical infrastructure but also enable us to generate a stable revenue stream through hosting retreats, workshops, and individual guests. This financial self-sufficiency will ensure the long-term sustainability of The Breeze Spring as a sanctuary for healing, nature, and community in Lebanon.
